OMG fell asleep in front of the TV, woke up up to see this story on UK Sky News rolling news feed alongside ongoing Strauss-Kahn story. The Hamilton allegation had already received a big splash on Channel Four's ToC studio coverage earlier in the evening, although Phil and Paul managed to talk about it without mentioning LA.

Surely Hincapie is the lynchpin, if this is his testimony then it's game over.

Sweet Dancin' Moses!

What a week! Haven't read all the posts in this thread yet, but I'd like to point out to the "waste of timers" that this isn't solely about some guys cheating in cycling.

It's about corruption at an international scale, perjury, trafficking, intimidation, racketeering, money-laundering, and a slew of financial misdeeds that pulled a lot of money from innocent pockets and crammed it double-fist style into a few deep and dirty pockets.

Based on Fabiani's MO, I can't wait to see what sort of silliness these 'tards come up with to soften Hincapie's input. WOW! Georgie boy lettin' it fly! What's going to happen with the GH fanboys? There's probably more of them than anyone can imagine. He's always been the understated Golden Boy of American cycling...

From the article: Prosecutors are looking to bring charges against Armstrong that may include fraud, corruption, drug trafficking and money laundering, said a person briefed on the investigation who is not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

This strongly implies a leak in Eric Holder's office. This is a real disappointment, given that his deputies and investigators have done a remarkable job of keeping a tight lid on things. It also implies that the bigwigs in Washington are REALLY watching this thing and it is definitely still ongoing. This investigation cannot be only about sports doping after all this time and money.

I don't think GH is backpedalling...maybe just trying to downplay the avalanche. It must be a combo of fright and exhilaration. ..and maybe a bit of shock that it was leaked.

JV...thinking about what he needs to say. The spotlight is on.

I think at some point GH wanted this out-so he can at least have his last year done with some peace of mind-the avalanche was already in motion, and the longer his confession holds-the bigger is the snowball effect on him-since he was the last piece of the puzzle to fit. I think whatever JV is set to say isn't going to make such impact as this one-because of the close link between GH & LA.

I hope he has the spine to do so. He probably feared the hit his career would take if he came out before, but now, others have run the whipping line ahead of him and cleared enough space for him to tell what he knows. Plus, all the cool kids are doing it, and everyone knows how important image is to JV.

haha......

This stongly suggests Holder's office is really tired of the total BS spread by the LA PR machine.

That and he probably enjoys sticking his thumb in Fabiani's eye.

It is all good .....maybe I am not AS happy AS you are but yeah it is VERY GOOD for the TRUTH to come out. No worries....I am not fanboying your party. so please do not accuse me of the normal party line around here! hehe. :D

Do you still see LA cutting a deal?

I'm starting to think the door is closing on that option.

OK, last time OFF TOPIC before we get a warning.

Alcohol isn´t PED or drug, it´s for fun only. Cheers.
This guy was like me, just a little more talented ;)
I couldn´t wait the practice is over to have our beer/gambling fun. And like him i wasn´t into any running, more a "gamer". I think that ruined my back in baseball ....

No, i didn´t expect the Avatar-Change by Chris. But he´s looking better now, and that says a "hater" :D

I don't like the feel of some of these ...I do feel sorry for many folks and don't like to gloat. They are innocent and were duped. :(

Perhaps I'm just too cynical, but I really can't understand how some people can be so naive. I guess, in thier situation (those with cancer), it's understandable to find hope in the latest Messiah.

As far as the rest go. Nada. How can you be so f-ing stupid? And for so long? I mean, we're not in middle school anymore.

He can cut a deal as long as he'll give up the deal planners in all of this. That can mean USAC, Weisel and influence buying in the UCI. At this point all we're talking about is drugs. The reality is that other elements of financial fraud, tax improprieties related to his foundation, etc are a much bigger deal than him taking drugs. Legally the PED use is a rather two-bit misdemeanor in the grand scheme of things. Once you take the possibility of all the things bearing down on him he's just feeling the burners turn on the pot he's in. I doubt those close to him want to admit just how bad it will be because they are also cutting deals or packing their bags.

Really can't add anything to what's been said as I'm a little late to the party. (Went to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie!) It's been a nice day!
