ADD seems to confirm that the delays has something to do with CIRC. Jyllandsposten claims that at least one new witness with connections to Denmark has stepped forward.

feltet.dk writes "According to several informed sources, Bjarne Riis will not have a future in cycling after the CIRC investigation has been published, and the question is whether Bjarne Riis is also mentioned in the report of ADD." and: "The CIRC report will supposedly be completed in either January or February, so ADD report may be closer to being published than ever before." ...!

Jyllandspostens article is behind a paywall, here is Politikens article about Jyllandspostens article.

Thanks for the links. Haven't seen this.

Interesting that the article from feltet says " according to several well-informed sources, Riis have no future in cycling" Since feltet is not really a bull**** gossip site, I find it interesting. Could still be bull**** obviously. And would of course be nice to know what kind of sources, they are referring to.

Maybe Vayer was not that far of, when tweeting that Vino and Riis would be gone for the 2015 season.

I'll believe it when I see it (that they have anything(/enough) on him within SOL that is).

If he take it now, he could still make it back to the tour... But those kind of offers are not for everyone I guess..;)

Yes, you need a membership to the Tygart Summer Vacation Club. Currently Vaughters and his team are the only card holders.

I feel similar. The reason why it made me wonder, when the article from feltet, talked about well-informed sources saying Riis is done.

Would be fun to see who tinkoff would bring in to run the team then. Wasn't Manolo Saiz looking for a comeback:p? He know Contador all right, that's for sure.

Feltet.dk have edited their article and apparently the source is Antoine Vayer

In short: Riis have no idea what Anti doping Denmark wants to accomplish with the rapport. He run a serious team, he look his riders in the eyes to decide if he can trust them. And of course the problem with doping was in the 90's... :)

Bloody hell - what is it with all these people that make their decisions based on looking people in the eyes?

JV, Walsh, Riis - who else?

Spill it RR, what is the goss?

i'm assuming life ban for Riis.

If we're lucky some collateral damage.
Whom I'd love to see exposed most: Sastre, Voigt, ow, and Ogrady's and Julich's non-confessions.

Seems like an appropriate time for this to come up again:

That would be something. Danish press and public would go absolutely bananas..

But still, I wonder if they really have that much of "new" proof. For a life ban.

But I guess we are soon to see..

The first merde to hit the fan will be the result of Anti-Doping Denmark?s multi-year investigation into Bjarne Riis and his team. ADD has talked with many of riders and staff who worked with Riis over the last couple decades and most indications are that the report will not be good. Riis is very aware something bad is coming his way.The investigation has been a significant source of stress for him and was the primary reason he sold his team to Oleg Tinkov.

There is ample evidence Riis not only participated in but also enabled doping for many years but the case is far from a slam dunk. ADD faces some significant statue of limitation hurdles if it decides to sanction him. Riis has always been solid tactician. The wise move would be to talk with ADD and CIRC, as both Brian Cookson and Lance Armstrong have suggested, and negotiate a reduced sanction??or he could go down with the ship and roll his dice at CAS.

He will face no ban at all, is my guess. They have plenty on him before 2005, but (what I'm aware of) nothing within the last 10 years.

There could be stuff we do not (yet) know about.

Otherwise I agree with you. If they have nothing from after 2005 then.......... Also it's not like Tinkov is gonna sack him due to his ethical codecs...

All Rasmussen had on him was that he saw him getting injected with cortisone (which I think he had a bogus TUE for) and that he rejected 'helping' him when he showed up for a race over the 50%. Judged by that, I doubt many riders would have much on Riis, and I very much doubt the likes of Basso, Cancellara, Voigt, Schlecks, Contador, Julich, Breschel, Kroon and O'Grady will testify. I think it's only Zabriskie and VdV who would testify, but I'm not sure how much they would want to tell.

Tinkov isn't that big of an idiot. He likes Bjarne, he won't announce his ban as if it's a massive win for him.

Tinkov is the sole emperor. Riis is ordered back on the bike and will ride the Giro as road captain.
