But his thread has one hundred pages, he must be almost as good as Valverde

I reckon he's about as talented as Valverde. Very similar riders actually, both very punchy and can win anything from a hilly stage to a high mountain stage. Betancur is more aggressive in his riding style though. :D

Oh and Valverde trains and is disciplined, that's an important difference as well.

last one in the stage today. This can only mean one thing: Targeting tomorrow's stage. Or he's sick. Ok, two things ;). Judging by his Instagram post before the stage, I'm guessing he is going for the stage

Ouch,this surely hurt!
In this kind of stages (plus after 2weeks of racing and rest day) we can see how important the base is,....he should rest after the giro a lot

He was winning races before the Giro and now he's worse than at last year's Giro. Maybe he's simply overraced by now. He needs to rest and don't get fat again. Then, everything's gonna be alright!

You are asking too much :D :D :D

No one's gonna stop him on Bonette descent! He'll take half of Lombarde with the momentum, not even pedalling.

But seriously, it's kinda sad seeing him is such a sh*tty shape.

He studied the racebook and paced his ride perfectly for an impressive win.

Estimated fastest time for the stage was 3hr 22min: he completed it in 3:17:13. That should have been a massive 5 minute winning margin, but the others did not blow up from their early effort as he expected.

According to Señal Colombia broadcast today, Betancur suffered yesterdey from food intoxication and dehydration... Dunno if it's true.

So he "intoxicated" too much food?

Yeah, that seems plausible. :D :D :D

I'm guessing that's courtesy of Google translate or one of its equally stellar competitors. :)
