Tour de Suisse is a world tour race, I don't think three weeks of training will be enough to get good results there.
His level in the Ardennes and Romandie was already decent, it's not that he started from zero.

Yes but it was nowhere near enough to compete for good places. He will still have massive legs and can only hope to do something in a breakaway.

Pantani at the 2003 Giro disagrees! :D

That's the thing with shamefully wasting your talent ... It is possible to be competitive with 3 -5 weeks of proper training! :(

So, Carlos posted a picture in instagram...some of the comments were like "you are too skinny". Then someone said "you look sick..is that the drugs you are taking?". Guess what? Carlos responded to the guy, told him off LOL. He takes his fitness very seriously AND he reads all comments about him looks like. If he is reading this! Que demuestres a esos brutos!

Nice to see that. I expect a fun to watch performance in la Vuelta working for Valverde, something that he seems to like.

Bit of a broken telephone there TBH. Anyway things seem to be looking up for Carlitos, but he hasn't done much racing yet, so let's not crank up the hype machine to eleven just yet.

He definitely stores most of the fat on the upper leg area, but seems to be in good shape.

Hey, you can't hammer away if you don't have a strong foundation. And those are two WorldTour level anvils he's sporting.

That was impressive stuff throughout the day. He made the rest of the field look like schoolyard kids.

Mother of god, someone will win the Tour Vuelta double this year and it's not Froome

But in all seriousness I can't believe what I just saw. He wasn't only one but around 20 levels above everyone else in this race and he wasn't exactly riding against unexperienced neopros.
