Out of shape but still finishes close to the front. In full form he will win

Close to the front and yet so far away ... :D

Full form? Can you collaborate and describe his "full form". Just asking because there is 20 other riders that would win in "full form" so his "full form" would have to be somehow better than all the other guys in "full form" in order to win.

He will never win another race ... mark my words

This didn't stop Ullrich so shouldn't be a problem for him either. His form seems to improve a bit so now after AGR training ride,he should be better in La Fleche.

Why do you still care about this person, who is clearly giving the middle finger to y'all and the sport. I just wished he grew so fat during the winter, he wouldn't be able to get inside a plane back to Europe.

You are correct about the middle finger.

Anyone who has done some cycling training, even on the lowest level would agree that cycling requires a year round prep and training and if you take it easy just for a few months over the winter and it is usually impossible to catch up the very same season.

If he wants some real GC results, he will have to start from a scratch this fall and get some serious base fitness in his legs to be competitive next year because these days, talent is nothing if you dont put in the hard work.

There's lots of jokes about Betancur's shape, but for sure the laugh is on all of those he beat in P-N last year while being 5(?)kg overweight. I'd really like to see him win again, even if he is still overweight.

Yep, a role model to all amateur cyclists with a 9-5 who know they'd be better with 3 more hours to train a day, 2 more hours of rest each night, and 3kgs less in their spare tire...

by the time he gets to the Giro he is going to be exhausted of trying to loose weight by riding miles and miles of pro tour races. LOL.

He is getting into shape by the day.
