One week later and still nothing. I (finally!) gave up on him as a professional rider, but I hope everything is good on a personal level because he seems a fragile person.

He might race Memorial Marco Pantani and Trofeo Matteotti this coming weekend.
At least he's on the start list for the latter, according to PCS.

Lombardia they'll be riding for Valverde. He's already said he's going to race Lombardia.

Wouldn't surprise me if he will have his best season at Movistar next year, but they really shouldn't fall in that trap and resign him.

Why did Betencur not race from the Giro in May to Italian classics ??
The thing is there are far better riders than Betencur out there
And there are far handier and reliable domestiques who have no contract
Plus he is not liked in the peloton .....heard he is supposed to be very unfriendly , aggressive and a pain in the butt
