Seen some say Froome chucked everything at Bertie and couldn't drop him, I hope Bertie buys the motorbike driver a beer

Froome has enough money to buy his own beers ;)

Froome is not very good with bad weather and the weather is changing is Spain and could be wet at the end in northern Spain, so he should put more time on his main rivals. He should put big time on the ITT, but you never knows. I dont think third week should be a big problem, although Angliru is not the best climb for him, but bad weather is a problem, specially againts people as Nibali or even Contador, so...

I doubt there's much to gain from drafting on 15% gradients.
I'd be more upset about the pushes he got from fans if I were you!

I'm not upset, just saying, hope Bertie gets that driver a beer ;)
contador was dropped and clawing his way back after the steepest section on xorret, the last 500 meters had quite a moderate gradient around 5-7%.

Which %5-7? The last 500 m was %10,5.

Ok, if you want to be *that* pedantic, the last 500 meters have a section in the single digit gradients

Edit: which can also be seen in the profile that you yourself posted

Edit: which can also be seen in the profile that you yourself posted[/quote]Ah, thanks about it. Didn't look at the old official profile. (The new ones aren't that good) (Yours is probably of 2009 or 2010, and it is very good and has enough informations.) But still, the last 300 m is %8,33. So the last 500m wasn't %5-7. Also it says that the last 500m was %10,5 in my profile, though as you said the last 250-300 m or so look at single digit also in mine.

Edit: Quotes got messed up since I'm answering on phone.

Winning time on everyone in order to minimize the chance of not biting the Vuelta again, since it's expected that Chaves will have the upper hand in the next 2 weeks (well, with the exception of the ITT, obviously).

Yesterday he dropped Contador, today he dropped Chaves.

I thought he couldn't attack on climbs anymore... Given this was not his ideal sort of climb that was an impressive display of power.

why would you think that?

I wasn't thinking that exactly although did wonder as everyone seemed to be saying that in the tour as he didn't drop everyone with an attack like in previous tours. Looks like he still has it :D

he done one major attack in Le tour on the Col d'Izoard, the rest was a pacing effort...Just my take on it

Re:

He was the huge favorite for the win, but he still had to pull it off so congrats.

Uh... don't you mean yesterday he dropped Chaves, today Contador

My heart sank when I seen Chaves coming back, then into his slipstream, I thought Chaves was going to win the stage
Your heart sank... really? You're even more emotionally invested than I am

Best cyclist ever! Looked like it today, at least.
Maybe if you've been following the sport since 2012.
