One seriously questions how long Froome can hold up the charade. If he gets cooked in the Czech Tour and gets to extend his contract, he really has to thank his lawyers for coming up with a monumental watertight deal. If I was Sylvan Adams I would just buy out the contract, if possible.
You are being a bit dramatic. After his tour non selection he was never going to train properly as he doesn't care about anything else and apparently had a back issue on top of that. If he has no injury issues next year then it will probably go similar to 2022, just about gets the form to finish in some breaks at the Tour then nothing for the rest of the year as he doesn't care about any other race.

He has had multiple non crash related injuries this year though so he might not even be able to follow the 2022 path.

He's not getting selected for next year's TdF.

After Adams' interview it's just not going to happen.

If Froome were to reach the form he had in July 2022 (I don't think he will), then he will get selected. Even since his non selection he was forced to go to Israel and do a bunch of promotional things, they wouldn't miss the opportunity of selecting him.

Maybe they'll not select him, so they can send him to Israel and do a bunch of promotional things.

(BTW, have I been blind for almost a year? When was the poll added?)

In Czech Tour, he always finished with sprinter talent Pajur and mentor Huppertz, both from German CT Lotto… These two Lotto riders are now equal to Froome in GC… Must be an interesting feeling for Pajur and Huppertz…

Chris Froome at the moment finishes in the grupetto of the 2.1 Czech Tour… Most of the times, he finishes at the back of these grupettos, amongst riders who are unexperienced youngsters at mediocre CT teams, and amongst sprinters of mediocre or even weaker CT teams…

I mean, why not?… There is still a place in the peloton for him. I like that he‘s still around, and riding pro bike races.

He seems to be lean and fit, and all…

I think it was Ain, or Route du Sud, in 2020, when Sky‘s Froome and Thomas got dropped, so they weren’t allowed to race the Tour. Thomas recovered and later became third at the Tour again, and second at the Giro… Froomey never fully recovered. It must be something with his crash at the Dauphine. This crash obviously did some damage to his body, and so he now has problems in the races. He became another rider. Hats off, he still tries, and is not discouraged…

I think he lost a lot of watts, a lot of kms per hour. Cannot compare that to his best times. I mean, he went from being the best on earth to riding at the back of the grupetto in the Czech Tour - next to riders who mostly would have problems making the time limit at stage one at a Tour de France… Funny somehow, but why not? Better we see him riding races, than that he retires…

No ***, Sherlock!
And he wouldn't get the same amount of ridicule if he'd just accept that he'll never be the same rider he was before the crash. Instead he keeps spinning some weird tale that he can totally still win a 5th Tour.
