Froome in his Romandie-shape would have struggled with these guys. But he will probably be at another in level in the Tour.

The reason that it will be all about the mountains is that there is ‘little time-trialing’.![]()
The mountains in the Giro and TDF routes are comparable; it is the amount of TT kms that are drastically different. Ergo, the reason Froome was considering riding the giro was due to the amount of TTing, not because the TDF had ‘to (sic) much climbing’ as you wrote.

Jesus. Froome mentioned the amount of climbing because it is relevant to him.
If it was just about the ITT he would never have said this
"With six mountain-top finishes it is going to be an aggressive and massively demanding race" Froome
Many thanks.

Depending on how you classify the 'medium mountain' Giro stages like yesterday, it also has 6 MTF, so why is that not 'to (sic) much climbing'?
If you don't answer my question, I will just assume that you are not debating honestly. If the 2015 TDF had the same amount of MTFs but 100Km of TTs, would Froome even have considered riding the Giro? No, further confirming my point that his decision was based on the TT kms. End of story.
Many thanks.![]()

“I love the Tour, nothing’s changed,” Froome explained. “The Giro is truly a great opportunity, the route suits me very well, like I said, it’s well-balanced.'
So where is he complaining about 'to (sic) much climbing'? I know you understand because you did not answer my question. A mind is a terrible thing to waste Ray.

Again . hopefully this time the basket ball we land in the net...

And the Giro with its 6 MTF is not?![]()
BTW, nice grammar.
Compensated by massive TT where he can take 2mins out of everybody offsets the mountainsdjpbaltimore said:ray j willings said:"With six mountain-top finishes it is going to be an aggressive and massively demanding race" Froome

He knows Richie and he doesn't care about Aru so there was just one guy who caught his attention but didn't impress him much.

It's to early to talk about real favorites for the Tour. We'll have to wait till we are closer to July to determine what type of form Froome has. If he is in 2013 form than he is more of a favorite than Nairo.

Yeah, well, truth be told, the actual Nairo is different from 2 years ago.
I would bet my house on it.Even if he is not physically stronger (which he is also) he is a lot more stronger mentally.Jspear said:lenric said:Jspear said:Taxus4a said:Tour has a stage in netherland coast with the wind, has a flecha valona, has a small Roubaix... it is not everything for climbers, but it is not the best route for Froome. But have we seen what he can do in top form? The Giro 2013 Nario sure wouldn't have beaten 2013 Froome. Do you think Nairo is stronger now than in 2013?

Froome needs to pull off his 2013 if he doesnt want to be dropped again and again by Quintana.
