Nah, I think it has gone too far for that.In my opinion this isn't all that beneficial to Cian development. Doing it like that. I guess best thing that can happen to him now is for him to be forced to respect his contract with Bora in the 2024 season. We'll see.
Whoever writing the script is doing a great job.
It is like when players in football puts in transfer request to force their way. It's incredible. Cycling is & forever will be the greatest drama in sports.
It boggles the mind that a professional team like Jumbo Visma with all their lawyers & legal experts could make a huge mistake like this, aka announcing a rider who is contracted to another team.
Either this is all a deliberate ploy (some sort of tactical negotiating manoeuvre from either party, although I cannot see how Jumbo could make everything look so formally agreed upon & signed when it wasn't the case), or someone is lying/or has lied about the finer details of the contract. Like the rider's agent, perhaps.

This is like the equivalent of that.
Whether it takes a week or so resolve this... it will likely happen.
Bora in the end will likely decide to let him go for some sort of fee from Visma. Better than to have rider who doesnt want to be there. It can cause other problems in the team.
Some really dirty business.
Cian management claiming the contract with Bora was terminated on Dec 1st.Yes, it's dirty business alright. Absolutely.
Some scenarios are possible here (including the one you put forward), although looking at the wording of Bora's statement re 'our rider', there's the possibility this one actually ends up in courts if Uijtdebroeks shows up in pre-season training... with Visma.
Jumbo Visma haven't retracted their announcement yet either. So we have two teams claiming to have a rider contracted to them for the 2024 season.
But evidently without Bora's consent.Cian management claiming the contract with Bora was terminated on Dec 1st.
We will see what happens.
I know Bora has scored a lot of sympathy points now that Roglic has signed for them, but surely nobody really believes that? They want money, and contrary to popular belief Jumbo don't buy riders out of their contract so they're left with a net loss since they did pay for Roglic. I would be quite annoyed as well, if I were Ralph Denk. But without Bora knowing, apparently...
Hostile takeover, like with Van Aert.
