I studied the example
@joseph89 provided and i don't feel that it really applies here. At least not directly in regards to 2024 season and the UCI decision. Bora and Visma are not Belgian teams and as mentioned FIFA doesn't pay any attention to this rule if clubs outside of Belgium are involved.
So in regards to season 2024 and UCI decision. UCI has its own set of rules and for UCI the contract Cian has with Bora is still valid. And that won't change until and if UCI decides that. That is on why the case of alleged misconduct is presented in front of such commission. And not on some court. As for season 2024 and on who Cian will be registered to ride for. That is more or less entirety up to the UCI. And hence their set of rules. I doubt UCI would now made a decision against their own rules.
Parties involved can indeed go to courts after. If not agreeing with the decision. But no way that will be resolved in time before the season 2024 starts. That is potential court cases. As for van Aert case. There one specific was involved and that is it was claimed that former employee went out of business. And as such for the contract to be terminated. Courts latter having their say on it. Bora obviously is still alive and kicking. And currently still with a valid contract in regards to Cian. Company based in Austria.
