Trying to explain Yates is like trying to talk to a 5 year old who just asks "why" 15 times in a row.Why Yates can fly in Ordizia and then is dropped by Mollema in a big race?

remco is taking a break from pedalling, time enough to roll to the finish?
To be honest if there is a place where Yates should be able to fly somewhat consistently, it should be the Vuelta.Simon 'what the *** is he doing' Yates looking great for 3 stages where he looks like he's racing against children and a 37th place GC finish this Vuelta!
This must be what watching Merckx was like
It’s just because no one is tryingI'm not a cycling statistics expert by any means. But 2'30" seems like an extremely large gap to win this race by?
Yes, but also very different routes over the years.I'm not a cycling statistics expert by any means. But 2'30" seems like an extremely large gap to win this race by?
This has all the elements to be considered a peak Remco performance for the forum standards. It will be brought back countless times now for next time he fails as "remember the time when Remco dropped [insert name of a very tired rider ]" as an excuse to keeping the GT hype alive. The Remco thread will have more 100 pages analysing his performance, his face and his voice just to conclude that he's still growing as a rider.

It's funny 'cause it's true.
Had a cool down the last 10kmdoesn't look tired.
Yep, we are back to the glorious 90's.it is.
i am just loving this recent cycling when riders come in in ones and twos again like the old days.
So in order to determine whether a peak Pogacar (which he suposedly is not at the moment) could stay with Evenepoel, you refer to a moment where peak Pogacar dropped a non-peak Evenepoel.
Yes i think Pogacar would be able to follow Evenepoel, but i don't you're using the best argument here.
