173. Walsh is leader of the Bots. He wrote the BotBible "Inside Sky".

You can read Walsh 3:16 - I once beat Tour de France champion Alberto Contador.

Blackcat doesn't seem to very knowledgable about the reality of the UK. He seems to have garnered all his knowledge from watching Chariots of Fire and Billy Elliott. Maybe he should broaden his horizons with Trainspotting and Downton Abbey.

171. Being Currently Banned. Sometimes useful, sometimes confusing. Like anything other rule enforcement (see also doping), receives more attention for alleged over and under use than it does for the vast majority of proper uses.

and tenses and grammar, going forward, so-to-speak

I went to school in 1966, was initially taught in imperial, including money, then in the late 1960s and early 70s we started to be taught in metric, decimal currency was about to arrive. What this means is that I cook in metric, use miles when I'm cycling/driving, and when in France mentally work out what any distance sign means in imperial. When building bookcases and stuff around the house I use a mixture of feet, inches, metres, and mms. Height is normally in feet and inches, except when I'm working out my bicycle fit when it's in metres and cms. And when watching cycling coverage on TV I'm constantly multiplying everything by 5/8s.
yes, we get taught by empire crew here too.

167: I Can Find 10 Riders To say you doped too

Typical used response, when you realize the jig is up. Also used as a deterrant to cover up you knowing they know you doped.

172. Invisible backpack of sadness - Carrying around the legacy of being married to a prolific doper.

176. Island Dwellers--People blinded by the Union Jack to the point that a guy who came in 5th in the 2010 Commonwealth Games TT, and then won the Tour de France 3 years later, isn't in the least suspicious...That David Millar, Alex Dowsett, and Luke Dubridge haven't won a Tour also is a complete mystery to them...

Does anyone know who came in 4th?

British units of alcohol always confuses me. Why can't the EU make a standard that is used across the continent? :(

1 British unit = 10ml of alcohol
1 Danish unit = 15 ml of alcohol.
no, its accurate.

British and empire crew are lightweights. as if this thread had not proved that beyond criminal proof.

175. Bobke--Fu*k that guy.
both? Bobke de Subaru, Hobre? Hombre de Subaru?

you know his son was an intern at livestrong and his FTP was about 450 watts and his doc was an ivy league grad?

I think OnceARunner unmasked him. He was a doc <strikethru> chiropracter in Austin and he may have helped set up The LAF in 97. And he was a mediocre masters racer.

177. Polemic--According to Websters, "a strong verbal or written attack on someone or something" but used ad-nauseum by Johan Bruyneel and every other accused doper or doping facilitator in reference to any and all suggestions of PED use.

The term disappears for months at a time, then finds it's way into every conversation and interview whenever a new doping scandal arises, as if the entire peloton got the same "Word Of The Day" calendar in their SWAG bag at the Tour that year. De rigeur talking point and top of the righteously indignant doper checklist.

and let's not forget

179. Mr. 63% - nobody believed it's possible, but Riis was outriis-ed (thanks Jimmy Briceno, new clean era rider)

180. Give the jerseys back - part of the Omerta religion based on the prophecy that "every race should have a winner", supported by certain famous Tour winners
