I didn't catch the Peach Bowl yesterday being my Fubo free trial had ended last week, but Indiana pummeled the Ducks 56-22, on to the championship game for Indiana!

Last time I actually liked a Florida team was when Dan Marino played for the Dolphins back in the 80s, so I can't get myself to care about the Hurricanes. So I'm hoping (basketball school) Indiana can win the National Championship!

Indiana has never won a national championship in football - they have 5 in basketball.

If Indiana wins it'll be the greatest story in college sports history. This was a program that was a Laughingstock for decades. Nobody cared about Indiana football - it's all basketball in the state of Indiana.

In comes Curt Cignitti & turns the program around literally overnight. In 2 yrs at the helm, he's 26-2 & playing for a national championship. It's seems so unreal (I've been watching college football for decades & have never seen anything like this before).

Miami unable to make a comeback late in the game giving the Hoosiers it's first football championship in the school's 139 yr history. An undefeated dream season for the school & a complete turnaround for the program (no school in NCAA history had lost more games than the Hoosiers).

I missed the game cause brainfart and no Fubo or ESPN subscription, but huuuuuge congrats to the Hoosiers. Too bad Gene Hackman (RIP) isn't around anymore to play the coach in a movie that would depict this Cinderella story!

We talked about Drew Allar last October when he got injured.
You had much higher opinion of him than I, thinking he could be a very high pick. I thought otherwise.
But soon we shall see. He just never looked that good to me.

Well...I was completely wrong, he's not going to be a high pick. Most scouting reports have Allar going in the lower rounds (6th or 7th). One report said there may be a team or two willing to take a chance on him in the 3rd or 4th rd.

Here's the irony. After his productive & impressive Jr year, he was projected as a 1st rounder - even a potential #1 OA. Then came his catastrophic Sr year culminating with the mid-season major ankle injury.

So, he's got a lot going against him with the dramatic drop in performance & the injury. The plus side is he has Josh Allen type size, arm strength & mobility (strongest arm out of this class). It's going to come down to what team is willing to take on the risk of trying to develop him.
