Much better coverage and some entertaining final kilometres. Nice sprint by Superman who was fourth. Bernal sprinted to get into a good position but was dead for the sprint and was fifth.

Molano wins.
Allaphilipphe second. He waited too much to sprint IMO.

Good route today and lot of second line favourited riders with ambition gave a good stage.

He had no chance of beating Molano anyway.

No chance is too much to say in a stage like this with Jungels working for him. He had almost imposible to win, but not impossible. Anyway maybe he prefered to secute second.

9 Colombians in the top 10. Reckon altitude plays a part? Or just greater motivation?

Carapaz= Ecuador , both of them, Altitude and greater motivation playing a role

Two big talents lost time today. Karel Vacek (no surprise) and Einer Rubio (bit more of a surprise). Was hoping that Rubio could show himself this race.

Good news and bad news for team UAE - bummer for Gaviria, but chapeau till Molano. As was said, the high altitude must be starting to take a toll on those not used to it.

Hope to see Uran again with the leader. I dont think it will be a bunch sprint.
EF don’t want the leader jersey though.
They failed miserably- not only have they the leader jersey, but they occupy all top3 spots in GC!

Not a good situation, though. They'll now have responsibility to control while teams like Sky have so many options to form a long-range attack. And even having someone like Craddock to cover any potential dangerous move may backfire because you wouldn't trust him not to be distanced on any final climb after what he has shown in the past 2 years.

I think it was a jab at Jancouver.

I understand why they go there but the production was an embarrassment. And a deterioration from last year.

This is not a mandatory race in 50C heat so I have no problem with this event.

Plus, this is not a one (Willunga) hill race either so other than the poor coverage , I’m quite enjoying this race

Same, like I said before. Rubio isn't that young anymore, either, so my expectations were relatively high. Maybe he'll do better in the last stage.

Superman López was on a break away on a flat stage. Got some bonus seconds. Last 15 Kms

Every single day I tune in when the stage's already finished.
Spectacular racing so far, it appears.

Let's see at the speed that they will climb the last mountain tomorrow. It is going to be crazy. So many climbers together.
