The only thing that comes close is, he said the riders should have opened their mouths in 2005.

How about starting up from himself? ;)

I believe he might be a doper yes just like 90&#37]
HOW??! You said doping is contraindicated for his health that outlived a cerebral collapse. What changed? They guy decided to run a risk?

Frankly speaking, I'm beginning to doubt whether Armstrong and Contador are human beings at all. More likely, they are mutants forged from steel. An oldschool omerta is a very strong thing. While alive they will never surrender. Generally, Contador's, Valverde's, Samu's cue have the only message: "He's a doper and I'm a doper too. And we are - dopers - created the sport. Cycling without us is null. Listen up! Everyone who disagrees with us, FU!" If the guys had expressed themselves that way, they would of beeen waaaay more honest.

Hello? anyone seen Bernard Hinault? Hello? You there?
Heh, who is concerned about Hinault? Answer for Contador! The criminal must be imprisoned!! We often say like that in my area.

Well said!

It seems pretty clear to me all this Spain hatin' is just sour grapes.

Everybody knows Spaniards are as comitted to fighting doping as anybody else. Ok, so their federation might be full of biased homers, but who isn't?

And their judicial system might have blocked and pretty much shelved any doping case they got into their hands... but that's just the judges.

Their government might be dirty as hell, but hey, they're the ones suffering that unlucky curse!

They might be number one in shady doctors per square kilometre, but that's just coincidence.

So what, their riders are the only ones backing Armstrong in unison, but that's just the riders.

So Contador got treated to a hero's welcome when he tested positive, but that was just a couple of retards, not representative at all.

Their media might be a dopers-loving joke, but what does the media have to do with the people!

Pretty much every internet poll shows almost half the Spaniards think Armstrong shouldn't have lost his titles, but everybody knows internet polls have zero credibility!

The Spanish culture isn't more lenient towards doping than any other culture, what a ridiculous thing to say! Spaniards just happened to get the wrong cycling authorities, judges, governments, doctors, riders and media. In reality, they're just victims of all this.

Your forgot to mention that Armstrong, Landis, Hamilton, Hincapie, etc. are all Spaniards.

I wonder what Contador will when Lance and Bruyneel start talking. Maybe, that would be something like 'ah... whom do you believe??! they are just
outlaws' :D

i disagree with most of you, i'm afraid. I read ac comments as being mostly about being tactful and neutral
No. The thing is he really has nothing to say. No matter what he tells it automatically becomes a wicked hypocritical trolling. When one wallows in lies too deeply, there is no other way.

What?

Exactly what is the point you're trying to make?

Just like my post, you fail to see sarcastic or analogue illogic to your poorly generalized post.

Do I need to spell it out?
Are there a lot Spanish dopers? Yes
Are there a lot non Spanish dopers? Yes
Is doping or corruption bound to a specific nationality? No

Just what I thought.

Where exactly have I claimed doping or corruption is bound to a specific nationality?

The way you formulated it gave that impression, like making a caricature out of it, sorry if you weren't and ment the exacte opposite.

From the brief time I've had to see some fo Contadors comments, I find his response cretinous; along with Brad, and in most cycling fans eyes appreciably more so, he is the highest profile and most exiting GT rider in the peloton.

With riders being slammed for their silence/stupidity or down right complicit comments surely a guy of Contadors stature realises the chance he has to make a real difference. Sadly his comments only point one way..............:(

Well lets see him champion weekly blood data & power figures, lets see his medical regime, his daily prep coming up to a GT then be chaperoned 24/7 when he's on that Tour and then submit all his data for independant analysis etc etc............. if I wanted to be seen as the best and to be clean thats the way I'd be going.

He doesn't have a chance to make a difference. He probably started doping soon after he became a pro, he still doped after he was caught, and he'll continue doping untill he'll get caught a second time or he retires. Anything condemning he would say about the Armstrong case would be another attempt to make a fool out of every intelligent cycling fan.

The only contribution Contador can make to clean cycling is by quitting. Or give a full and frank account of his own doping practices and that of his teams and teammates. He is gonna do neither. He has chosen his path long ago, the only thing he'll do is keep telling lies, defend the omerta and trivialize the doping problem in cycling. It's a shame, because he could be a great rider.

As a leader on SBTB he almost certainly already does. Search for Chris Anker Sorensen's data as team leader at the 2012 TDF. Blood data is part of the biopassport.
