Absurd is claiming to be Deepthroat Down Under. Absurd is your new forum signature. Absurd is making outrageous claims without investigating whether or not Contador has a realistic claim of innocent exposure.

I totally disagree with that.

Or he doped......

At this point, I am leaning to believing that he doped. I think this year's tour was cleaner, "er" being the operative two letters. I think he got busted with his hand in the cookie jar. Time will tell.

He'll get off. There's plausible deniability.

In a few years we will find out about an anonymous contribution to the UCI.

The UCI hasn't the balls to let numero uno go down and take a PT team with him.

i agree. it will go to a national federation which is......in spain. the hearing will almost certainly get underway quickly to have berto ready for the 2011 season.

in my educated guess berto got screwed up by an incompetent use of an allergy
medication. perhaps unknowingly.

I doubt it would have been a screw up of allergy medication. He will have known for years precisely what is allowed, and at any rate I don't think his allergies are much of a problem in July.

It's either a genuine food contamination issue, which is quite rare but possible, or the more likely scenario that he microdosed the drug to enhance performance.

But with his history with puerto surely will make the uci think that this guy is dodgy. I still think that he will somehow get out of it. No wonder A.C. was great friends with Valv-Piti.

I thought the minute levels in the Radioshack rider's system (Li? Can't recall the name) were consistent with food contamination in China. Does anyone know if his case is under review to examine if he has a legit excuse?

This is truly funny, being willing to accept innocent exposure for Contador while also being someone who is absolutely convinced that LA is the biggest doper in the peleton, even without a positive test (TUE for cortisone excepted).

I guess you really just hate Lance so bad that you are willing to overlook having a 3-time Tour winner test positive.

My bad. I see the other thread now. Can I delete this? Or, can a moderator?

I apologize. Don't intend to clutter the forum.

One only needs to look at RadioShack's Fuyu Li.

Anti doping rules specifically state that a rider himself is held responsible for irregularities in his body.

If the B comes back positive then Fuyu Li will be looking at the outcome with wide eyes.

No.

They have no choice - same as with Floyd, the cat is out of the bag.
Expect the UCI to go in to 'damage-limitation'. If you think not, then we can have a bet - $1 for a charity of my choice (ie me) everytime you hear the words 'biological passport'.

From the U.S. DEA web site:

Introduction:

Clenbuterol is a ..

It is also illicitly administered to livestock for its repartitioning effects. This has resulted in several outbreaks of acute illness in Spain, France, Italy, China, and Portugal 0.5-3 hours after individuals ingested liver and meat containing clenbuterol residues.

I don't think it would be beyond a PED user to look up the side-effect and pharmacokinetic profiles of a drug after testing positive for it.

"Look guys it says here that there was a reported case of people eating contaminated livestock and testing positive for Clenbuterol resides. That is my excuse."

I want to hear from Riis, I want to hear what that stupid bald doper has to say. His sack must be wrenched tight right now cause he doesn't have the seeds to fire Contador. It would be suicide for his team. To steal a line from another doper, Au Revoir Alberto.

clenbuterol is not microdosed because it becomes ineffective. check the doeses. they are micrograms at full therapeutic doses.

untill i see the testing details, at this point i dont believe the food contamination theory. it sounds like a bs to fit in the plausible denial after the fact.

Here is the article link: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/alberto-contador-tests-positive-for-clenbuterol

Food contamination? Evidently, AC didn't learn well from LA and Bruyneel. Or is this the best his handlers can conjure up for an explanation?

Clen is used for enhancing performance. Are we to believe he was sabotaged?

Pardon me if this has already been discussed, but this is new to me.

Its bute not clen on the streets, you need to polish up your lingo if you want street cred.

See, i'm not so sure that would be the reaction of Riis. His retort to the UCI when talking about his yellow jersey (paraphrasing) "you know where it is, you can come and get it" says to me he may well be unrepentant, and while he may like to portray that his riders are above it all, he needs to satisfy sponsors with wins, and whatever it takes is what he may well do (as evidenced in 1996). He might just say to Alberto next year "lets just keep this between you and me... *jab*".
