Dammit. He's infinitely better than I estimated. Now curiosity makes me wonder what those four asterisks stand for.

About McCullum, he had a surgery earlier this year for torn cartilage in the knee. Five day strain on the knees may be too much for him now. Let's also not forget that his keeping isn't great and he won't be able to hold a spot as keeper without his batting. His best batting has come as a batsman only without needing to worry about his keeping.

As for Young, he won't ever be a Gilchrist but he could try and emulate Jack Russell, his keeping is just as velvety smooth but if he could become a nuggetty battler he'll be one of the best.

Time filler, Champions Trophy hockey is going very well. New Zealand 1-1 Netherlands near half time in the Bronze medal match. 2-2 nice match.
Australia are nigh on unbeatable in hockey.

Match starting.

The thing is that if he been able to edge out another 30-odd runs, Australia are now chasing closer to 280 to win.

Young could emulate Russell, he isn't as good as him yet.

You still haven't answered the question, what do the **** stand for, curiosity killing me?

Australia looking comfortable.

Pakistan 4/478 against Bangladesh's 135, Zimbabwe are way better than Bangladesh.

Considering India won the SAFF, all I need now is for WI to win this to make my day. Pollard batting well:eek:

Well, we jinxed them. Russell run out.

just hit a 6, it's still on, 180/6 needs 88 from 113 balls... I think it will be tough. West indies had a very bad wicket given agaisnt them(in my opinion, although i hardly know anytihng about cricket) and the first ball was lbw :S so they've recovered well..

do batters not have to wear helmets?

No, it's not necessary to wear helmets. It's a slow and low pitch and WI haven't got their best batsman (Darren Bravo). Unlikely that WI will win now.

That's the start New Zealand needed. Hughes out for 20 and c Guptil b Martin in all four innings of this series.

I think Hughes should go back to State cricket, work on his technique more and send a couple of seasons piling on the runs and getting his confidence back. He's only 23, I wouldn't close the book on him forever.

What did he say? You could always defect to grandstand. Dropped and 4. Next ball, Haddin's gone.

Also, nice innings from Warner.

Southee doing something useful:eek: Siddle out now.

OK Siddle has gone as i type that

7 down and really into the tail. Warner needs to smack some runs before he runs out of partners. 39 for 5 in last 10 overs

NZ winning this 5 for Bracewell. 4 wickets in 2 overs, nice batting from Australia.

It all started thanks to Haddin again. Warner could farm enough of the strike, top innings considering the circumstances. Lyon to face two balls in the over.

Dougie Bracewell's been brilliant this series, a bit unlucky (in the first test).

Warner's not the best at farming the strike, gives Lyon 3 balls to face.

As an Indian fan you must be hoping Australia keeping him.

I don't really like the Indian cricket team mainly because of the BCCI and the likes of Kohli, Yuvraj and Gambhir and the attitude towards cricket, money = everything.

I do enjoy a Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid or Laxman innings and Zaheer doing well. Ashwin seems like a champ as well.

Lucky Warner.
