Warner should keep his idiot comments to himself even though Trott's issues have been building up over a period of time according to the English coach. Trott never looked right in the previous series and seems to have lost his confidence compared to the Trott of old. We will see how the Aussie bowlers go at Adelaide on a very different pitch.
I'll be the first person to call Warner all sorts of things, but I don't think he knew about Trott's problems. Why would the Australians know about that? England would have kept it under wraps, Australia would have given no quarter to Trott if they knew he had issues.

How come? Apart from that incident he had with Wahab Riaz a couple of years ago, Trott always struck me as a fairly likable guy. Not 'one of the lads', with their inane little banter like Swann, KP, Prior, Anderson, and Broad; not one of the ECB High Performance trust fund kids who had their future lined up for them the moment they picked up a bat or ball, like Cook, Bell, and Root. Trott and Carberry are pretty much the only players that (almost) always conduct themselves well on and off the field, and have had to go the extra mile in terms of hard work and domestic performances to earn their spot. The others- either they're nice guys but had the advantages from the ECB, or they're arrogant little *** just like David Warner.

Clear as day a violation of the code of conduct for players if referred to the ICC - my only problem is the actual referral in that there has usually been an unwritten code between the teams that whatever is said on the field stays on the field (barring some racist exceptions) and by citing Clarke this has been broken.
And of course based on precedents set and examples over the years, is it really all that bad? Probably not
Was there history that caused Clarke to say this? Probably
Would there have been a big outcry from England had they won? Probably not
Move on England - focus on trying to stop Johnson.
He was only fined because he was caught by the stump mic. 21st century nanny state Mrs. Lovejoy do gooders are the reason, really. 'Get ready for a broken ****ing arm' is hardly incendiary. The only time I can think of where (non-racial) sledging actually warranted punishment was that ugly incident between Sarwan and McGrath about 10 years ago in the West Indies.
