Michael Papps continues his good form with a duck and 4 for Wellington as Jeetan Patel and Luke Woodcock rescue them in the first innings with 81 and 84. Otago were bowled out for 242 in reply and Wellington are 93/1 in their second innings.

Kiwivelo is having a discount sale at the moment. Not what I expected from radiosport, as long as Maxwell and Kerry O'Keefe are on it's tolerable.

I see that Wagner also picked up 7 wickets in Wellington's 1st innings. Fair to say that Neil Wagner loves bowling to Wellington.

5-176 . day over?

NZ saving this test (to some degree) Anything over 250 is probably a decent effort considering the start they had.

Hamish could say that the scorers mistook his brother for him and say two of his runs don't count. Then he'd be a good brother.

County news-
James Taylor to Notts is a done deal and Murali Kartik is likely going to Surrey. Awaiting confirmation.

That is what I thought. I havent seen any of the match either (work). I figured 300 was minimum needed to be competitive, I guess it depends how Australia bat.

Mitchell Starc is not smart, bowl at the stumps to Martin, so what does he do? Bowls outside off for all 6 balls.

Warner plays a wonderful innings to prove his doubters wrong and lays questions over his future in tests to rest.

Ganguly scored his first FC century in two years against Haryana for Bengal.

shame to see him fail. Am torn between my dislike of the Australian team and my support of NSW.

Was hoping to see Ponting and Clarke to get out cheaply after Warner and Khawaja put on some runs

Can you explain how the Ranji Trophy Plate works?

Vettori opening the bowling with Southee.

Don't you like Clarke, considering he's from NSW as well?
Personally, I don't like Warner in tests that much. In ODIs and T20s he should be an automatic choice, I believe.

It's tough to get used to and the current Ranji champions Rajasthan were in the Plate division last year, the equivalent of County Championships division 2.

The elite and plate divisions are held simultaneously. Both elite and plate consist of 2 groups.

The top 2 teams of each group in the Plate division go to the semi finals and the winners of the semi finals head into the elite championships.

The elite championships work similar to the plate except the fact that there a quarter finals (3 top teams from each group and the elite championships finalists), then it's a knockout.
