Yesterday he was held up by a crash, otherwise he would have been in the front group, so I don't know if his shape is really that terrible.

Anyway the final group wasn't that big, just because one can sprint nicely uphill doesn't make said rider a hilly rider. I don't think he has great shape to be honest.

.We know you and Sky are doing a full dress rehearsal for the Tour...but you can give the break a bit of leeway....who knows they might even be kind enough to take that damned jersey off you hands (and you might save EBH for the Tour).
.Then as per rehearsal you can drive the peloton as you chase breaks on behalf of the holder of that bloody jersey!!!

But above all, smile when on podium, be polite and allow time for a relaxed presentation.

Don't really understand BMC's tactics today. They should have rode more for Gilbert today instead of evans. The stage suited gilbert much more. Not hard enough for evans. Gilbert just rode along in the front group.

Preparations for Tour I would guess. Same thing Sky does with EBH. Both stages suited him okay but in both he worked a lot, same with Gilbert with him possibly working for Evans and planning tactics etc. how it will look overall at the Tour, plans etc.

Hard stage, the heat hurt a lot. I was badly positioned at the 10k mark and because of the turns and speed i was not able to get in front again.

A very hard stage, the favorable (?) wind and the heat hurt! I was poorly placed at 10 km and with the turns and the speed I couldn't get back up.

Very hard stage, the favorable wind(no clue what he means by that) and the heat hurt! I was badly placed with 10km to go and with the corners and the speed I wasn't able to return to the front.

Aka I sucked.
