That stage looks to be even duller than the previous two...

Get used to it, this whole dauphine is extremely dull. Only joux plane will cause some excitement, and i'm going to miss that stage :(

Only Suisse has a promising route this year. And after that we get the boring as **** TDF

Actually i found stage1 quite enjoyable considering the fact that it could have boiled down to a sprint in the same fashion as yesterday's stage.

TDF didnt even start and you are condemning it.... It cant be much worse than Giro.

Sometimes this forum displeasure about races is crazy.

the profiles of the stages is not half as boring as the contenders for the stage win and the overall. except for the 30 seconds epic effort by Cadel on the first day, you can say the rest of the race has being pretty tamed so far.

The Tour stages are actually raced at a very high tempo with a lot of attacks towards the begining of stages, so they arent actually boring at all. That it may seem that way doesnt mean they are.

I think we’ll get a German 1-2 today with Degenkolb and Ciolek. Probably in that order. Bouhanni for third, EBH will probably fail but I hope he wins!

well we never get to see the beginning of the stages:eek:
Sometimes the breakaway stage and flat stages are really boring.
Especially when htc takes control.
However there is so much hype around the tour and its the highlight of the season so I still love to watch it no matter what.

The funny thing is that those being bored, being displeasured or complaining about the parcours still watch and keep posting comments during the stages LOL!!!

Yeh exactly my point.
These stages may seem totally boring but they are really being raced full brink, you cant really ask anything else of the riders.
If you remember I think it was stage 17/16 when EBH won, the peloton was racing full gas for the first 70km as everybody was trying to go away and different teams didnt like the riders in the break and so were pulling them back. Such a stage may seem a bore to you, but there isnt much more they can do, without exploding half the peloton

No it's logical. Think for one second. During boring stages you start posting comments to at least have less boredom (at least that's the way it is for me). During exciting stages I don't have to. As there is enough action on screen.

That's completely opposite to what's actually happening though. "Big" stages get far more comments than sprint/transitional stages.

I think it would be Meyer ( they were Madison partners )- though i do know they do not lead each other out in that.

Good point greenedge except it is the "other" Meyer, Travis in this race. Cam Meyer isn't racing.

They seem to give him chase down roles though, so not sure if he will be in the finish if he has to do a lot of work during the early parts of the race. Weening was one who was in the lead outs for Howard in California, maybe he will take on that role here as well.

I wonder where is logic-is-your-friend when you need him?

You can always tell by the page count how interesting a stage is. When I logged on and saw it at six pages nearly halfway through the stage I could instantly tell nothing had happened. Much quicker than trawling back through a ticker feed :D

6 pages?
I don't know how you can put up with 10 posts on a page, especially when a stage moves fast. Get it bumped up, I'm only on page 2!
