Le tour saying he crashed after the first time check.

Makes much more sense looking at the time checks, and confirms this was a joke ride even before.

What ? 2'10" over 18km wasn't too bad for Andy was it? If he keeps going at that speed he'll be 10 minutes behind at the end.

The Telegraaf guy is actually following Andy on a moto, so I'm inclined to trust his judgement.

Joke ride, yes, but I think he need to suffer now, because what will happen on the Tour if the wind will be strong again, or any other excuse will happen (rain, too much sun, not the perfect shade of the tarmac)?

Serious question: Does anybody know how technical the course is? Because long ITTs like this usually aren't very demanding in that matter, right?

Well, if he repeats this he can go for the Polka dot jersey - he's not going to be a remotely serious threat if he can't stay within 3 minutes after the first TT.

You are very weak. Who has more cynical remark, ah? )

Don't take it to heart airstrem.

I don't mind Andy. But I am guilty of jumping on the bandwagon.

For the record, I hope he isn't hurt.

Doesn't look like Durbridge lost any time to anyone on the last 13k, eh ? Even to Rous and Westra who finished well, interesting...

Meanwhile, even before he crashed Andy lost the time you said he would finish behind in the first 1/3rd.
No, he did not. He lost 2 minutes, of which one minute due to the crash.

It doesn't look especially technical on the course map except for the last 5-8km into town. Other than that, long open stretches.

Jeanneson at 7 minutes at check2, isn't he one of the french hopefuls? terrible tt this
Didn't know Jeannesson was even in this race. Since he's riding now, he has already lost time before, so maybe his form isn't great?

They said he crashed after the first check.

And some dutch paper disagreed.

Maybe he crashed twice - the guy needs stabilisers.

The guys who passed him today should get a T-shirt printed to mark the occasion - they'll get a group discount.
