They said he crashed after the first check.
But the Telegraaf guy was actually following him on a moto. Whom do you trust, some guy at the finish line, or a guy who is watching it with his own eyes?

Ray Kerckhoffs is a moron, but I assume he can get at least this right.

Can somebody please explain this chatter about a "Time Cut"?

There are time limits for every stage, including TTs. The time limit today is set a 125% of the winner's time, therefore if the winner finished in 1:00:00, all riders outside 1:15:00 would be outside of the time limit and could be excluded from the next stage.

If Durbridge were to win the stage, everyone within c. 16:12 of the winner would make it.

They have to have to a time limit for TTs, else the domestiques would trundle round at recovery pace to save their legs for the next day.

Wow, just checking in to the race. Great time by Andy. Impressive (I bet something like this has been probably said about 100 times already in this thread, but I just couldn't resist)

Has to be asked. With 100km oh ITT in the Tour why would Andy bother showing up on start line?

Horner and Kloden need to sit him down and have a chat.

At this rate he'll only lose a total of 18 minutes in the ITT's in TDF :p

Now you're just being silly. There's only 96.1km of ITT at Le Tour this year, and at the rate he lost time today, Andy will only concede a mere 16 minutes and 36 seconds. :D

133. PLAZA MOLINA Ruben 14:17:00
134. KIRYIENKA Vasil 14:18:00

They are teammates, isn't it forbidden to start in sequence?

He won't be gaining any time in the prologue.

What he wrote exactly? Where has Andy crashed? For me his twitter never load, so I can't read it.

You've made me think now...

So if a rider is excluded from (just) the next stage, how does that affect their GC position officially?

They withdraw, just like anyone else who quits the race.

To be clear, your (just) is not correct - they're excluded from the full race.

He becomes life-time winner of the race.
