he is saving himself for the tour, clearly.

Why would Sky want to catch the break SO much if they don't have anybody in the peleton that could win it ?

At this point they are not even working in the peleton. Machado and Europcar take over.

De Gendt podium'd because nobody cared to chase him. And wasn't he still in 5th before the final TT? So i guess maybe he podium'd because of his TT

Garmin chased the whole way up the Stelvio. But I guess they didn't care.

I get all that and De Gendt had an amazing ride that day but my point is I dont think Sky or Radioshack is going to lose any significant time in any stage due to a downhill attack by a contender like Evans.

You meant VandeVelde chased with quite slow-ish pace and while he lead De GEednt increased his lead at few points  ALthough when Hesjedal took over at the end the gap came down at the end considerably.

Vichot is actually a pretty talented guy. He was 21st in L-B-L this year and has lots of good results in smaller French races.

If he leaves FDJ and joins Omega Pharma, he'll be doing Ardennes triples with ease ;)

Despite the fact that Schleck lost the Tour on a descent last year, you don't think it'll make any difference. Got it.

There are opportunities where he may lose time on downhill, and might even be isolated.

saunaking assured us that no-one cared to chase. Whether Vandevelde made any impact on the gap doesn't mean they weren't bothered. Sky didn't make any ground on Boonen at Roubaix, do you think they didn't care to chase then?

They cared, but they weren't strong enough to catch him, definitely.

Same with PR, although Sky gave up quite fast on the idea. After few km's from Stannard and Hayamn I think they knew they were not going catch him.

Just checking in. Has Sky TTT'd off the front yet? I hear if they put Wiggins on the front that it would happen without them even trying.

That's a superb win by Vichot. Very hard stage today so it's impressive he still had that attack in him in the final kms.

He's going to the Tour right? Thibaut Pinot as well?
