Well,

Andy says he has debilitating road rash from the ITT crash and had to ride (most) of yesterday's stage while seated...I don't know, but my road rash never heals with "just one lick...oh, oh...no, oh..." Maybe he WILL be able break out, transform, and win both the CDL and the TdF in one magical ride. Hey, it could happen.

"He couldn’t pedal anymore", the Frenchman said. "Since he crashed during the time trial, the whole right side of his body was hurting. He was climbing all right but he was suffering to hold his bike. Yesterday, he managed to finish but today, racing had become too difficult."

Sarmiento has now got a lead of about 16 points in the KoM. Looks good but lets see how they fare on the Colombier and if anyone can hold off the peloton on the Joux Plane.

Live coverage starts in 45 minutes-am I correct?

Yes so we should get to see the end of the Colombière, I'm assuming it's the the other side they climbed in 2009 when Bertie made his teammate Klodi crack...that was a tough climb.

Looking forward to Sky driving the pace up the Chatelard, that's a power climb...remember Honchar and Voigt taking turns in 2006 to try to catch up with Flandis!

Well presumably he was trying to struggle on but it just got too much so he had to abandon. If circumstances change then changing your mind on whether to keep racing or not is not necessarily a bad thing.

I, for one, hope he finds some form for the tour as it will be a lesser race without climbers like him and Contador. Say what you want about him (and it is probably true) but he can attack in the climbs and make a race of it like few others in recents Tours.

The more climbers that put pressure on Evans and Wiggins the better the race will be in my mind.

i agree with you on that and wish them well for july. (andy and frank) Me, I am saving my money for the 2013 tour debut in corsica with alberto back with a vengeance in mind.

I wonder if the peleton will catch up to the break in the Col de la Colombiere. For now they seem to be gaining time fast on them. I can't see a large group like that staying together if the climbers push the pace

Probably because that's what he really wanted but when he tried today he realized that he just couldn't. Can't see anything funny about a rider falling, wanting to continue but just can't compete.

andy will be spectacular in the tour.the alliance with cobo was just made.both empty now.
now let's just enjoy some uk postal vs europcar bad-asz racing s'il vous-plait

nice try grivko!but sky will catch them all until the foot of joux-plane
