Whoever wins this, I feel certain AC can drop Froome here. The 28% ramps up the last climb should atleast favour him over Froome.

Now we find out if the Contador of old is back, anything less and Froome will nick his lunch money on the final climb.

It doesn't alter the fact that Contador hasn`t been able to show his rivals a clean pair of heels since his return to the sport. Purito and Valverde had his measure in the Vuelta and last year Froome had his measure in the tour.Jspear said:Right, that was the year AC won the Giro...so he had the Giro in his legs and iirc he crashed several times that year in the Tour. Not making excuses, just stating the facts.
A wall with a gradient of 28.3% awaits the riders and Thomas Voeckler who has done a recon of the climb issued a warning in a recent interview, claiming that "riders who forget to mount a 27 will be in a world of pain."Escarabajo said:Ok. The picture shows to be very steep but the number below shows to be 6.2%. Much better.
