Unfortunate for Herregodts but it would have been a really stupid win with all that motopacing - I was actually rooting for the peloton there. Final 10k were also a bit too technical in this weather for a stage where the main climb was like 5k at 5%, glad there wasn't a major crash.

Incredible tight finish, Herregodts was catched in the last 20 meters. Laporte can really thank Vingegaard for this win.

As for the combativity award, I think we have already understood that its a bit of a joke when French riders are involved in breakaways in these French races.
