No he didn't. Him and Benoot had a gap, but Castro just reeled them and Bardet in.

Really should have isolated Thomas before attacking him on the descnent. Especially Castro is too big an engine to be there on the flatter sections.

A little bit, but it's just a sidenote. Castro was about to reel in Bardet anyway.

Think Bardet's max gap was around 15 seconds, but it does show that there's time to be gained with better technique and less effort than on the climbs. You still have to reel him back. Should be a fun last climb!

Now, if only there was a descent ITT. That would be perfect for Romain.
