STOP MAKING ME SO DAMNED HUNGRY!!

And... something I don't understand; Why do people take pictures of their food? Coz when I've cooked something my first thought sure ain't gonna be "Oh! I better take a picture of this!" It's gonna be "EAT IT! OM-NOMNOMNOMNOM!"

Usually the food is too hot to eat when first plated. Actually it's also too hot to photograph as the steam makes things blurry.

OK :p

I too do not think of a camera when sitting to eat. However, I do like to share some pix of food and once in a while I snap a shot. I have what - 40 meals a week? How many do I photo and post? Very few. Also, when cooking and sipping some wine or stronger spirits, I have some down time and ... click away. It's sort of a memorial, a reminder of what looks so tasty. As the Japanese say: "The eye also eats."

In fact, right after I posted the baked avocado and eggs photo, I made ... avocado and eggs. Why? Because of the photo. Excellent!

I tried these a few days ago. they were good but I'm not going to tell you they tasted like bacon. I may try brining the strips overnight with salt, sugar, and a few drops of liquid smoke. I had these with eggs and toast. those baked avocados would be lovely with these.

How do you get time for anything else? I suppose by 'meal' you simply mean 'something you eat'.
