Store bought Cake. It was pretty good. The cake was very similar to pound cake. Those are sliced apples. I was a little surprised as the label said "Pastel de Pina" Pineapple would have been even better with the coconut

Tomorrow it's traditional Turkey, etc, but tonight it's the return of Venison chilli, chili relleno, and the entire salad from the garden including tons of vine ripend tomatoes. yum.

Since parts of the family are off into the Turkish sun, I have do that traditional Turkey myself.
Never thought that this is so much relaxing. Grandma always looks stressed and in panic about the outcome.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Hope it's still there. Had to place the roaster-pot outside, because it was too big for the fridge.
Finished, looking good. Now that dude has to spend the night in the pot, to unfold and soak up all that taste, or none-taste.

If its too dry or tastes poor, then of course I got wrong advices.

If not today, any day, just give me a heads up. I do want to see your hacienda someday, i go down there for wine frequently and am making plans to retire south of the border.

Glad you could make it down. I want to head down to Ensenaada. It has been named the culinary capital of Mexico. But I still haven't exhausted places in Rosarito. I am going to spin around 3 times and wish for a Thai restaurant to open

Something new for me

I saw these Pork Shanks in the Market. I don't think I have ever cooked them before. I've made Veal, Lamb or Beef shanks but never Pork

I thought I had a disaster. But the non-whipped cream really soaked into the bread. It was whipped cream the night before I guess I needed to shake the can more. I think it was better this way
