"Take Bradley Wiggins for example, and his claim that he thought Lance Armstrong was clean up until the reasoned decision. I do have a little sympathy for him. While he's not particularly bright or articulate, :D if you read between his curse words it's clear that he has insecurities resulting from the fact that despite all the measures he took to win the Tour he wasn't even the strongest rider.

lim vs. landis. hmm...
wonder who's closer to the truth here.

Some spot-on observations from Landis.
no corporation with a board of directors worth their weight in salt would put their name on a Pro Tour team,

that is about the most sensible thing i've ever heard coming out of the mouht of somebody (formerly) involved in cycling.

Landis highlights what he sees as the contradictions and hypocrisy within the sport.

"Take Bradley Wiggins for example, and his claim that he thought Lance Armstrong was clean up until the reasoned decision.

The claim was that the reduced watts/kg which were in the neighbourhood of 6.0 were the proof of clean. If this were true, one has to question whether the current watts/kg of 6.5 and above are proof of doping."

The quote about Wiggins is memorable.

Floyd can come up with some great quotes. Too bad he didn't spend more time with Macur.

That he does. Most astute observer.

Is there a Lim thread?

What I experienced with Floyd was fear, abuse, and trauma - all of which transformed me in a profound way.

wow, it was like Floyd had stolen his colon cherry like some tale from a catholic boarding school, so trauma such turmoils heart pains ache in trauma such.

night sweats night terrors implanted thought

According to the book Steffen told Lim that Mercury staff - a team for which Landis rode before Postal and at which Steffen worked - had a pool rolling as to when Landis would commit suicide.

did Macur really put this to press? Was she hoping to get a gig writing for SNL?

Floyd gets back.

“There have been a lot of half truths told in this story but Lim's version of the story veers so far from reality that it's hard to find any facts at all save for his name being Allen.

well, his name on his birth certificate from Hong Kong says
which is actually Allan with an a. Not Allen.

I am sorry but LIM has no shame apparently...how do you get away with writing such garbage with fact checking...Lim wasn't paid...my a##, Lim was unaware..my a## and on and on.

Good for Landis, he totally eviscerates lim with facts. Then Lim claims floyd bullied him..sheesh, I wouldn't waste a penny on this book. Lim apparently found his salley Jenkins to write this book, and how a book like this gets credibility from NYT is even more amazing

agreed.

in 2012 Lim claimed he wasn't even paid by Landis in 2006 then it turns out he had a salary of $80K USD?!?!

Lim's credibility drops to ZERO after things like that come out. I'm tempted to call the IRS and tell them to take a closer look at Allen's filings!

AL is toxic. if I were ANY team management I would end any association with him. there are countless qualified physiologists out there who aren't lying scum. oh wait, that makes him perfect for working in pro cycling.

Well truth be told there are several people making a lot of money and scoring opportunism from the downfall of Armstrong. The one person who actually showed the most balls, nous and resiliency gets run over by the “Lim types” who want to tell everyone how saintly they are. Thankfully in this instance Lim was corrected, and shutdown.

Brilliant piece of 1 – 2 by CN. Get Lim to suck in the interview then just when he feels comfortable sock him with the evidence! No wonder Wiggins won’t talk to Benson!

Man, this "Lim" cat comes off as a huge, pathological liar, and a real piece of work, he just seems to lie, the second he opens his mouth, ala Wonderboy.

One commentor, says this about Lim:
"I remember when Floyd tested positive after the Tour, Lim came out and defended Floyd and said Floyd was clean and he has data that shows Floyd's watts from training to prove it. But in the book, Lim said he knew Floyd cheated to win that Tour. So, to me, he came out and knowingly lied to protect the omerta after Floyd got busted. I find Lim to be another person who facilitated drug use and got paid for it and never had to take responsibility for his involvement in the doping scandals. He used the whole system to make a name for himself so he could start his homemade Gatorade company. Shame on him!"

As crazy as this sounds for some, I actually side w/Floyd here. This Lim dude just seems like a bottom feeder, out to try to make some $$$.

just MY opinion of course.

This brings me to something Armstrong has been complaining about. He claims he wasn't offered the 6-month deal that others got -- for him it was simply, "Come out with your hands up or else." USADA disputes this. Unfortunately, Juliet's book doesn't discuss the issue. Do you have any insight or opinion about this?

My opinion based on what I know and again, this ain't the hospital room so I don't know every detail. USADA invited him in to talk - I don't know what was said behind closed doors but wada code states he could've had 6 months suspension. However, wonderboy started threatening usada, yelling, etc. and the meeting went nowhere.

He had data to show Floyd was clean? Did he say that. Would be interesting if he did because we've been hearing a lot of that type of argument lately.

.

I thought Lim was a bad guy - didn't he help with the doping on Radio Shack?
What I'm reading in CoL is far different than everything else I've been told and/or heard.

Just reading the CN piece on the landis/lim clash. This is why it's important to cooperate with people who are writing about you even if you do not want to. If you don't, it's their word against yours. Frankie didn't want to be interviewed for The Armstrong Lie - and it shows - but did it because I was a pain about it. His take, however, is that he did it and still got the short end of the stick: George lied and Frankie's rebuttal wasn't in it.

Yeah, seems to have been involved with many of the guys/teams who were part of the doping culture. I think you're right about the RS team.;)

When it's a competition between two liars, in this case Landis and Lim, I'll go with whoever has the check receipt to back up payment(s) made-

Lim can't keep track - he said to Benson that it was traumatic and abusive to work for Floyd - he told NYVelocity in 2009 that Floyd was a 'great guy and good friend.'
