Its all explained in the Dailymail today.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-3132873/Mo-Farah-s-fire-coach-Alberto-Salazar-begins-quest-clear-name.html
The Mail on Sunday has spoken to one of his key associates, Dr Mauro Di Pasquale, who has been asked by Salazar to provide evidence of the legal supplements he was providing to his athletes at the Nike Oregon Project, where Salazar is the head coach.

However they forgot to add a photo of doctor Mauro Di Pasquale who supplies the legal suplements. No problem I will post it here:

It's too bad there are only two comments on that story. Look at how funny they are:

"Who cares"

"Give it a rest"

LOL

If it had been a Spaniard, Russian, Italian, Kenyan: Ban them, suspend them, throw them out, get an inquiry into systematic doping, don't trust them...Did I get everything?

Don't be too quick to grab a pic after a Yahoo or Google image search. That photo is of "juicer" John Defendis a former competitive bodybuilder. That said Mauro does (or did) practice what he preaches. :) Shown below he's channeling Daniel Craig (Casino Royale).

If they actually manage to identify names, the revealing of Puerto blood bag owners could be more interesting in athletics than cycling . . . since we're unlikely to be very surprised by the cyclists.

I'm not talking about it in terms of bans or violations, just curiosity.

Will you be watching the Diamond League meet tomorrow?

No, will be home tucked up in bed reading David Walsh books

Good for you.

I was interested in cycling fans' new found love of athletics. Out of interest, I will be actually watching the meet, if you didn't know it was on. ;)

This is a doping forum, predominantly about cycling. You are in the Doping in Athletics thread so we discuss athletics. Discussions about doping in Russia, Kenya, Jamaica are abound. Alas there are many British in admiration who don't appear to be doing a very good job, so they get discussed as well.

Simples.

Where's the love for Ethiopia? Apparently Genzebe Dibaba is planning another world record while everyone looks the other way.

Asker Jeukendrup will be absolutely disgusted by this news, having worked with clean Ethiopian marathon runners such as Haile Gebreselassie for so many years.

I'm a bit surprised the Jama Aden story hasn't received more attention on here. letsrun.com are doing a decent job of summing things up.

It is pretty cut and dry. There were very few believers in Dibaba, Souleiman, etc. to begin with. Even the "never tested positive" camp cannot argue with what was going on in that hotel. There is very little "I told you so" conversation, as most people knew already.

The Mo Farah connection is also well spelled out. That is to say, his connection with the coach is well known and covered before. Any debate on the issue is the extent of Farah's connection.

The news broke, and we are in a phase now where we are waiting for the response by the athletes and governing bodies.

admittedly it's very good work from letsrun.com.
investigative journalism in the true sense of the word.
i.e. not buying straight into what the athletes and governing bodies tell you, but looking deeper.

@simoni: the Mo Farah thread yesterday provided some excerpts of the letsrun.com article.
but as MSTR says, there isn't a whole lot to discuss right now. It's all cut'ndry, and it's just hoping for the regular press to pick this up.

They say that they restested a sample that was taken on the first of Janury on the 12th of May, 4 days after he qualified for the olympics, and it came back positive, apparently some sort of anabolic steroid.
no surprise
you could see it in his body language
that he had come back to cheat again.

Crocodile tears
At 6 pm he'll have a press confernce, maybe we'll get some more corocodile tears.
Mr. "I only started doping after winning gold clean" is just a d-bag.

Ah yes, the Farah thread covers the ground I was expecting.

The dailymail in UK picked it up.

he was tested on Jan 1st and nothing was found
the same sample was RE-tested on May 12 and it came back positive

all the other tests he did this year, between Jan 1 and May 12 were ok.

I think they'll go with the lab mistake excuse?
