Michał Kwiatkowski

A star is born.

A star was always going to be born. He was off the front almost every day in the Spanish .1 season last year.

I bet a year with Radioshack beats most of that out of him.

Anyway, Unzué absolutely loves the guy, wanted him, but the sponsorship commitment with Latin American riders made him stall too long. If Radioshack end this year, expect to see him back with Unzué before you can say his name three times.

Out with the old diesels, in with the new.
Yet people still ramble on about Bruyneel the master tactician.
He's just the fat controller and these lads are his new trains.
And his trains are all on time.

BEWLEY Sam TEAM RADIOSHACK 8'24''
4
TUFT Svein TEAM SPIDERTECH 8'24''
5
KWIATKOWSKI Michal TEAM RADIOSHACK 8'25'' -----> cool nice done...

Not really. I think you will see Sergent put in some pretty impressive performances on TT's of up to 20km in length. At 5-7km in length and no technical sections forget about beating him unless you have a massive engine like Fabian.

As someone else pointed out though, can't go up hills.

Johan Bruyneel's Super Special Secret Sauce rides again!

LOL. Also, do the Aussies and Kiwis have a never ending supply of riders?

Im off to the clinic..

Dont be a tosser, Sergent and Bewley are top class track riders and with youth on their side can really dial in these stages.

Well, it wouldn't be so ridiculous if they didn't also have a never starting supply of riders that can climb. As it is, they just churn out a constant stream of young prospects who can sprint and/or TT, so it's no surprise to see Antipodeans filling the upper echelons of races like this.

Of course I'm not. These guys are 19 years old. Then it's encouraging to be on par with a guy like Frantisek Rabon.

O I didn't realize they were that young. That is impressive riding.

What's wrong with having a lot of guys who TT and can sprint?

Nothing, I'm just meaning that because there are a huge number of these prospects, but they focus in one or two areas, it's not that surprising to see a lot of them bunched up near the top in a race like this, which is a race where young prospects can come to the fore and is one in which TT and sprint are important.

If they had a more even spread of the specialisations of their young riders (like, say, Italy), then they wouldn't dominate events to such an extent because they'd have fewer riders specialising in the one area.

if they can't do anything else then it's pretty bad unless you are as fast as cavendish or such guys there's nothing to win other than the odd (short) itt or ttt
