Museew said thez other day : if Vanmarcke rode at Quick Step he would have won a classic already...

Except for a Omloop Het Nieuwsblad win, Sep's results in the classics are kinda sad:

2nd Paris - Roubaix ('13)
2x 2nd Gent - Wevelgem in Flanders Fields ('16, '10)
2x 3rd Ronde van Vlaanderen / Tour des Flandres ('16, '14)
2x 3rd Omloop Het Nieuwsblad Elite ('18, '17)
3rd Dwars door Vlaanderen - A travers la Flandre ('18)

For a supposed good sprinter, EBH never even manages to get a podium.

Kudos to Lampaert, with Benoot the strongest today it seems.

Why is this an anti climax? A perfectly timed move by the smartest rider.
Like Paolini in GW 2015. Great finish.

Absolutely. You could say the same for others. And just imagine what Sagan's or GVA's palmares might look like if they were in QS.

vanmarcke could be a great domestique. no more than that.
Absolute nonsense. Most WT teams would gladly have him as undisuputed leader for the cobbled races. He guarantees loads of publicity, heaps of WT points and podium finishes.

Somewhat Odd, clever, & sloppy outcome, but hey - Lamp took off when the others where seeking butterflies......
