Is Degenkolb there? Stuyven and Pedersen I thought.Velolover2 said:Degenkolb not taking any pulls. Too spend?

Aaah, that's why. Pedersen is in the lead group.Breh said:Idk why Lampaert is doing so much work.
He's gonna finish last if that group stays together.

It's Stuyven in the chase group. Mads P is up front, so he's not taking any turns. Same with the QS guys in the chase groupVelolover2 said:Degenkolb not taking any pulls. Too spend?
Most likely scenario, yes.Geraint Too Fast said:SafeBet said:Sep will drop them all on the last cobble sector.
...then get caught 500m later.
Stuyven for 6th, then. He is fast too.Cance > TheRest said:It's Stuyven in the chase group. Mads P is up front, so he's not taking any turns. Same with the QS guys in the chase groupVelolover2 said:Degenkolb not taking any pulls. Too spend?

He is up front now. I think he saw your message. :lol:Samamba said:Valverde being a bit of a pussy now.
He's acting like he has a teammate in front.

Agree for the most part. I would add that there is also more of a luck factor in the cobbled classics. The randomness is part of what makes them more fun to watch.portugal11 said:this is the difference between hilly classics like and cobbled classics. in cobbled classics you need to be the smartest to win. in hilly you just need to be the strongest
Agree with all this, I think Vanmarcke will take it. Either by a late attack or in the sprint.Hugo Koblet said:On paper Hagen is the fastest here but he looks the weakest of the five. Both Teunissen and Pedersen are fast as well, but they are on unknown territory. Vanmarcke looks strong and sprints well after a hard race. Lampaert I have no idea about, but I would guess that he's normally the slowest of the five.
He has a decent speed.Hugo Koblet said:On paper Hagen is the fastest here but he looks the weakest of the five. Both Teunissen and Pedersen are fast as well, but they are on unknown territory. The depressing results of Sep:repre said:Is Vanmarcke the best classic rider in the world without the sprint?
He needs to attack now...

I'd say that Lampaert is a candidate for the strongest cobbles rider at the moment.repre said:Is Vanmarcke the best classic rider in the world without the sprint?

Kwiatkowski has a better palmares than most cyclists in the peloton and he has never been the strongest in a big race he won. Kudos to him.
