Wow, he bounced back up so quickly after going down, shows it didn't break his concentration.

First crash this season on stage 5 and another one avoided by demonstrating some proper bike handling skills. Looks like and hopefully only some minor injuries involved. Bouwman rapidly giving Rogla his bike and Affini bringing him back. Some proper team work. Hopefully tomorrow riders get through the stage with less crashes.

There's no news yet as to whether he crashed. He had a slightly torn short & that's it. No visible abrasions or other marks.

No crash today on stage 6. Flat tire and that was it. His team again doing a good job bringing him back. Rogla dropping a couple of team member while doing so. Jersey got torn due to Rogla doing what Kuss did a couple of days back. And rear tire doing the rest. Small bandage on the right leg was there due to a small cut from yesterday. All in all Rogla was not affected by yesterday in any meaningful way.

Tomorrow it's time again for stretching the legs a bit! Fingers crossed.

What kind of tire compound is he riding on wet roads? This pic makes traction look like a fantasy.

Not much action on stage 7. Considering on how it went i feel that Rogla raced smart. Maybe some GC action tomorrow on the ultimate climb. We'll see.

Job done so far IMO, i.e. the most important job: survive week one.

Yeah, it seems Primoz is preparing some monstrous stomp in the second half of the race...unless he (and the rest) are Indurainnihilated on Sunday.

I said before the Giro a gap of two minutes behind Remco after Sunday wouldn't be unexpected & I stand by that. I also said Rog is going to win this Giro.

Last year Jai Hindley put 1:30 into Carapaz in only a few km's right at the end of the Giro. Whether it works or not for Rog is almost besides the point because the simple fact is Jumbo said he's aiming to peak in the 3rd week, therefor that's where the heavy attacks will come.

If Evenepoel withstands those attacks then he'll be a worthy winner. But Rog will attack, for sure. We might even see some skirmishes today before the ITT because teammates in particular get two rest days when the time trial is situated the day before a rest day.

Let's find out who's gonna be "nervous" later in the race, when they find out they haven't gained enough time to hold on in the last week. Remco is gonna need a sheepdog to round up all the attacks he's gonna face.
