You just made that up.

Someone merely noted how Rog & his wife seem more comfortable around Pog & Hauptman since he left Jumbo (well in terms of next season at least because he's technically still a Jumbo rider until the end of December).

That poster does make a certain pertinent point, i.e. Jumbo targeted Pogačar for intimidation. This is factual. You need merely re-watch the embarrassing man-marking done by Nathan van Hooydonck on Pog on the Champs-Élysées in the recent TdF. Jumbo riders had orders to f*ck with Pog & harass him. I wasn't the only person to notice Jumbo's quasi Pogačar derangement syndrome (which stems from the 2020 TdF).

Meanwhile since Rog quit the team, he's done some very visible charity work with Pog & he also described him as a friend (& he said he fully deserved to win the best rider of the year award in Slovenia).

That’s being a humble winner. I can’t imagine any rider having ridden the season of Roglic claiming it would’ve been better than the season of Pogacar.

The biggest reason Roglic became polarized was the 2021 Vuelta crash, that’s when a lot of people went a little sour sprinkled in with the off and pre Giro hype by fans (which was deserved from what Roglic showed in the Vuelta). Then of course there is the Roglic vs Evenepoel/Vingegaard fans going back and forth. Leaving us to catch up on multiple pages if we fall behind.

Many said Pog wasn’t going to win a stage at this years TdF after stage 5 otherwise it’s mostly in the clinic or the whole MVDP conspiracy. MVDP got it pretty bad after the Australian Worlds incident. Then it boils down to the majority liking the way Pog and MVDP ride compared to Roglic like how Valverde got hated despite winning. But that’s the thing, all the others know Roglic has to be dropped or he’ll majority of the time win the sprint. It’s like if a group brought Philipsen to the end without making him do any work.

I seen more posts complaining about 'haters' than I see posts by 'haters'

There is one guy consistently posting some stuff against roglic, but he is a vingegard fan. It's normal in sports to joke about your rivals and banter them, this is not hating, its part of the fun of being a sports fan and having fun posting here.

I like roglic as a person, his mentality and attitude, he's an inspiring guy, it doesn't surprise me he has fans. But his defensive racing style is not attractive, he can make races worse, and he also has some of the most annoying fanboys in sports, so for me it's also easy to see why people don't like him and want to joke about him. It makes good discussions in the off season. Some of the bias and fanboyism in this thread can be absurd at times.

It would be nice to see roglix on the attack more in 2024 with his new team and animating races.
