Do you have a report from somewhere? More detail appreciated.

From official statements, concussion was excluded but there are a lot of cuts and bruises involving hip, knee, elbow ... Luckily it seems like there are no deep cuts involved, although the hit was rather severe. Decision to continue to be taken tomorrow before the stage start.

That's good news. I was pretty sure he was concussed watching him, glad that's not the case.

I know it is ironic but he has a great shot of winning the Tour. Maybe his last shot, but for god's s@ke, just stay on the bike.

I was happier (& mainly relieved) seeing him walk away from that little lot in a 'relatively' okayish condition than I've been watching many of his wins.

I mean it's horrible for the others but at this stage in his career, Rog can't really afford to get badly hurt. For example he doesn't have as much time left as Vingo.

Does somebody know who the EF rider is who crashed into Rog and brought him down?

Does it really matter? You have couple of miliseconds to react and not everyone will make the right decision for given circumstances. At those speeds and minimal distance from eachother it does take much to crash and take someone with you.

I posted in the race discussion:

I can understand some guys near the front overshooting the speed limit and crashing. But there were two EF riders who crashed. The one that crashed near Rog was the cause for Rog's crash and he had ample time to see what is going on and not be such an amateur. However, he decided to keep his speed, overtake Rog and then crash him...
===========================

I am interested because I believe that rider took a really unnecessary risk and it should be pointed out.

I still think Rog has a lucky star watching over him.

i.e. escaping from that without anything broken was quite fortunate, tbh. Maybe we'll now see him race Flèche + Liège.
Nah, I think we won't see him until Dauphine. They won't risk it and I don't think his injures are that light to be honest. Two hard crashes in a row surely takes time to heal and LBL is in two weeks time.

From the people crashing today his crash looked "the best". Still heavy but not one big impact.

Sounds rather crazy as he went down twice in only a few days now, but he kind of looks like the "winner" out of the situation so far. Pogacar Giro, Vingegaard collarbone and ribs, Evenepoel collarbone and scapula - assuming Roglic stay healthy, this might be the best shot he will get.

i was thinking this too. not how i'd want it, i wanted to see a great battle here as well, but kinda wild how that might work out for him at the Tour.
