Think Rogla wants > 100 wins before he retires, so he will win a few stages. If healthy i feel that conservative approach is what the head says but the heart will likely win on an occasion and Rogla will, although needlessly, attack. We'll see.

Not even close. With Jonas doing PN and Catalunya, Roglic will not have more than 6/7 wins this year.Likely the plan is to complete the 100 goal in the 2025 season.
He could do it before Tadej, both of them will have > 100 after this season.Likely the plan is to complete the 100 goal in the 2025 season.

The Catalunya route is good for Rogla. Not even close. With Jonas doing PN and Catalunya, Roglic will not have more than 6/7 wins this year.
It is but he is racing against Jonas IMHO, only Pogacar would be a worse opponent. The Catalunya route is good for Rogla.
Surely Roglic didn't expect Jonas to come to Algarve/Catalunya, it makes zero sense for a Tour preparation. Wouldn't surprise me if Rog suddenly goes for Tirreno/Itzulia at some point next year.It is but he is racing against Jonas IMHO, only Pogacar would be a worse opponent.
And why would he do that? Roglic is a beast in one week races, if anything everyone else should be afraid of him and not vice versa. 😉Surely Roglic didn't expect Jonas to come to Algarve/Catalunya, it makes zero sense for a Tour preparation. Roglic hasn't been a beast for quite a while, barely won Dauphine against Jorgenson for 8" , beat Evenepoel by 6" in Catalunya and finished 10th in PN. Against Jonas he is not the favorite. And why would he do that? Roglic is a beast in one week races, if anything everyone else should be afraid of him and not vice versa. 😉

Catalunya for someone who targets Tour makes little sense and it's usually done by those who go for Giro but probably Vingegaard wanted to win it as well. Why?
He is the master of one week races, no matter what you say. 🤷♀️
Yes, he just needs to avoid Vingegaard in one week stage races and he will win a lot. Pogacar doesn't care about one week stage races. There is no doubt he is the best. While his win in Catalunya '23 was legendary, it is quite hard to argue against the fact that he hasn't faced the stiffest opposition in the one-week races he has managed to win in the last three years. In fact, he hasn't participated in one alongside Pog or Vingegaard since Dauphiné '22 apart from the fateful Itzulia '24.
Last time he met Pogi in one of those was in Itzulia '21. Crazy.

Valverde did a lot of times too. Purito too.Not true. Contador was doing Catalunya regularly, Froome has done it often as well, so did Quintana too.
