Floyd Explains How to Beat the Passport

Page 4 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
To me the big shocker here is that the EPO test essentially doesn't work. 6 hour test window? LOL. It explains why people are still occasionally getting popped for EPO - because they are all still using it and now and then one of them gets drunk or forgets to drink enough water (Frei), doesn't dilute the blood enough and goes positive at morning control.

So the whole sport has remained full of EPO since '01. That's nuts.

Ha, ha, I haven't been there in ages. I wonder if 'Hombre' is still around. Probably jumped off a bridge after the recent revelations. Wait, I keep forgetting that these are the rants of a psychopath that should be discounted. Plus, the level of detail suggests extreme psychosis. LA has shown the world his magnanimity by not pursuing legal action against FL. I know that if somebody slandered me like FL did to LA, and I had the financial means, I would certainly unleash the attorneys.

This is the biggest story I've seen since news of the e-mails broke. The scenario Landis paints fits perfectly with Armstrong's values from last year.
It's perfect that Ashenden & Catlin are now aware of it, five plus weeks before the Tour.
This really adds credence to the AFLD charges against UCI testers last year, and makes the UCI excluding them this year look like a full-fledged cover-up instead of ego.

Please, as an important first step, encourage cycling media to ask McQuaid if the UCI will agree to the AFLD request for additional controls before and during the Tour. Here are the specifics about the 35 day and 21 day countdowns, but Google Translate doesn't do well with the German.

http://www.focus.de/sport/mehrsport...dopingkontrollen-bei-der-tour_aid_507730.html

I was at the WADA website & was reminded that instead of 24/7 whereabouts, top athletes only have to state where they'll be during one hour each particular day. Does anyone know if the UCI rule is identical? I'm thinking that a guy could be at that place (preferably not his home or hotel) during the hour, leave immediately after, go somewhere and microdose, and know that he was safe until his next specified hour. That's if the one hour rule applies.

I am printing up some "I Heart Floyd Landis" tee shirts. Anyone want one?

Count me in! It would go really well alongside my Phonak kit that I wore on the weekend for the first time since 2006.

Did over 5 hours solo on Sunday morning wearing it saying "Support Floyd" to anyone out riding a Trek or wearing kit from any of LA's old teams. I had so much fun it felt more like half an hour. Australia has a lot of LA fans in denial:D....

Ha ha ha that's great. I saw some guy in a full Shack kit on my ride today so I couldn't resist saying "hey a full Shack kit! Are they still doing the package deal where you get a case of EPO when you buy a full Shack kit?" :D

Thanks. I'm still a newb here, though, and have to learn all the names all over again.

Thanks for the warm reception, but how do you know I don't wear high heels and pantyhose?

Back to Kirstin: I think you are jumping the gun there. Do you have any proof that she would not tell the truth if questioned formally?

Anyhow, it has already gone on for years. Perhaps we are now at the end of the beginning as far as Alarmstrong goes.

Dave.

Dave, oh. my, it is becoming a dpf reunion - I agree: think things are going to happen fairly quickly now: NYTimes+Federal investigators (with a little Bonnie Ford thrown in [she's good]) = not going away...

The fact that Floyd took EPO for years without ever testing positive for it underscores how meaningless the phrase "never tested positive" really is.

Interesting
landis offers unproven allegations and you jump the rails to "fact"
there should be an iq test for this forum

Interesting. You think Floyd is lying when he admits to his own drug use. How about Frei?

I myself am not OK with anyone talking about how to dope or how to beat a drug test. Some fool might try it and hurt themselves. I guess the people who do post these things are not concscientious about their actions.
To me it is similar to a person posting on the computer about how to cook up bath-tub meth.

No doubt, surprised to see Dave. Scared to check back at DPF; did the powers that be swoop in and issue an edict that nobody can refer to Armstrong doping until he is actually sanctioned?
And I'm worried that OAR is going to bust me for the whole "Red Lobster" thing.

there is no way Frei got enough results to get to the pros without doping in the espoirs and perhaps even juniors. Just, NO, WAY.

If this micro-dosing is so simple yet effective, surely medicos would be well aware/trained in this knowledge. It's only a revelation to us laypeople.

Guess you missed the part where Doc Ashenden, the guy who invented the EPO test, did a study to test Floyd's claims on how to beat the test and then corraborated those claims to ESPN!

LOL what were you saying about an IQ test again? Ha ha ha ha!

I would laugh at what you say but....after reading Joe Papp and attending local bike races the doping in cycling even by some old men my makes me sick. I do not want my kids to see that. Amatuers really. Racing for inner tube primes. On PEDs. You think they read the clinic for advice. Especially the graphs and such.

the door clearly states:

The Clinic
"The Clinic is the only place on Cyclingnews where you can discuss doping-related issues."

Hi all. If you know someone is a troll, and you want to poke them with a stick, could you please not include quotes in the reply? A mod will come in eventually and delete their posts, but they'll still live on through quotes, making them successful in the long run. Just an idea. Thanks.

Do you think Ashenden is already on the phone with the other 8 members of the Bio Passport evaluation board? How much freedom do you think they have to act? Can they get 30 day letters sent out on their own, or do they make recommendations to the UCI leaders? With five weeks plus before the Tour, and all the media attention, this seems like a great chance to bring in some of the top experts in the world short-term to come up with new testing protocols or methodology.

LMAO! That's awesome!!! Why troll on forums when you can do it in real life, much more fun when you can see the reactions. There are a lot of fanboys and casual LA fans who are really rethinking their hero worship ATM. The penny is finally starting to drop.
