Why do you play these silly games?

I'm shocked that you would impugn the honor of a respected Assistant US Attorney, just to further your stupid conspiracy theories.

Have you left no sense of decency?

One story in CN is not going to cause Floyd to spend money on legal fees to defend against a maybe investigation and maybe charges. Certainly not to the point of bankruptcy or near bankruptcy.

Floyd doesn't look much like a political cause célèbre. He looks more like a self-centered athlete who only chose to snitch when his omerta buddies revealed their complete lack of loyalty and when he thought he could use the truth to pry money out of Lance. Good luck playing Fraud off as the good guy in all this. Floyd demonstrated that he would lie, cheat, and steal to be TdF champion. Floyd is Lance's true soul brother.

Strong words HUGH CHUNKS!

But you seem intent on portraying Floyd as poor, without credibility and attempting to pocket money from the situation. Really?

In my mind Armstrong broke the biggest code of all... the Bro Code; every man, woman and child will see this crime as the worst. People indentify with mateship. It’s a strong quality. Never let your friends down. Ever.

Hi Mark,
Your googling skills have finally worked out that there are no Agents, just this "respected" US Attorney, who is pursuing a case with crimes that even google cannot find.
I can see why you are shocked.

This 'Lance is working with the feds to persecute Floyd' conspiracy theory is really bizarre. The idea that the feds are conducting a criminal investigation merely for harassment is simply crazy.

Similar to your Floyd is poor, has no money, cannot afford legal representation and doesn't have any lawyers conspiracy rhetoric?

No Mark, I looked at your conspiracy theory, quite frankly it was lacking any theory.

However, I do not underestimate the stupidness of Armstrong fans and Halpern could well be on a solo run. Perhaps he will have better luck on google with coming up with a law that was broken.

It boggles the mind I can tell. :)

Do you really think RR is that crazy that he would blather on about 'conspiracy theories' just to give you fodder?
...and impugn someone's reputation?

Have faith

An anonymous Internet poster names a specific US Attorney and associates him with influence peddling by Fabiani/Armstrong, without providing anything whatsoever to back it up. I'm not drinking that Kool-Aid.

It takes at least two people to have a conspiracy.

If the feds go after Floyd, he'll fold like a cheap suit!

You are welcome to continue with this strawman but it just makes you look silly. You might want to dial it back it bit as you are being too obvious.

I don't see it. Why did you pick Mr. Halpern's name out of thin air and inject it into this discussion? What did he do that was wrong? Are you just wantonly defaming people?

Lance has a proven track record of working with the anti-doping authorities. Remember those e-mails to WADA and ASO years ago? Makes sense that the Feds would turn to Lance for help. Lance and the Feds would be formidable opponents for sure. Maybe get Lance to wear a wire?

The Feds should have worked with Lance 10 years ago though. But better late than never.

According to you he'll be wearing a cheap suit.

Fold? I doubt it. The man has a very strong reserve.

Took on the Lance and won. Not many have done that! Not even the blondes.

You are the only person saying he did anything wrong so perhaps you should ask yourself this question?

Phil is the beacon. A shining light of truth, working to keep evil people like Floyd off the streets. America needs more people like him.

We understand, the Kool-Aid you drink is yellow......... (they even gave it a name, Michelob Ultra)

Ok, a refresher for you.
It was Cyclingnews (they are not anonymous) that reported the story that Floyd could face charges. Now I was somewhat dubious as it did not get reported elsewhere, and was ignored by the MSM.
However Floyd did not deny it, so there is something going on.

Perhaps they did not cover this at Internet lawyer school but a DA would have to actually bring charges, now even you were able to find the guys name on google.

The only question remaining is motivation.
You cannot come up with a crime - so it is either a solo run, or it is being sought by someone who is "petty and vindictive" or by their paid liar.

Lance working with the Feds makes as much sense as Floyd, Tyler, and Frankie working with the Feds. Nothing vindictive with Floyd, Tyler, Frankie or Lance. Just telling it like is is. You wouldn't expect them to perjure themselves yikes. Not with the Feds especially.

I don't think I misunderstood you at all. You implied an illicit connection between Halpern and Lance Armstrong and now you are backing away from it. Same thing you did with Birotte.

You've already come to the conclusion that there is no lawful way that Floyd could possibly be charged with any crime relating to FFF. From that premise, you conclude that something petty and vindictive must be underfoot. I get it.

Maybe somebody in the federal government doesn't share your opinion and wants to look at as much evidence as possible before making up their mind about whether or not Floyd should be charged?

Can you point out exactly (please quote) where RR made this "illicit connection", thanks.

Not to be pedantic, but...

The CN article does not mention Halpern. Mark is discussing RR's claim of a link between Halpern and (anywhere from 1 to 100+ co-conspirators who are all being paid by LA).

I will not charge for this refresher.
