If you read my previous earlier of the day post properly (as usual you didn´t), you would have seen that I fully expect him to be busted* (if coming up with Vuelta-like-showings)... mega style... Ricconess way...

And OFC, my last few posts were highly ironic/sarcastic.
Not even super alien grandpa can put up 620 watts with a half dead body. I mean you guys expect people to see sarcasm and irony with Froome, but don´t enjoy (more the other way around, go on attack/angry mode) if it goes against the loved one, sugar daddy US-Chris. I am just holding up a mirror to the hypos around here. Also as usual.

(* and if he doesn´t get popped, I also said that, he was super afraid upfront the TdF, and finishes in the middle of nowhere, like another ex-Saunier monster, Cobo-Dopo)

It's funny now the Tour is not missing him.

That might just have a bit to do with the fact that of the 6 stages so far, 4 have been sprint finishes, where you wouldn't expect a GC contender to feature!

If Contador romps away in the mountains, killing the event as a GC spectacle, then Froome may turn out to be missed.

I don't think any single rider is so special that the Tour can't manage without him.

Would like to share this hope. Too many pred cycles may do serious harm to the immune response. Too little cold resistance, etc. A prolonged bout of viruses, flu's and possibly worse ahead?

I didn't see Brailsford, but the interviews I saw with G and even Porte on the highlights were striking in their complete lack of concern about Froome - Thomas basically just shrugged and said 'oh well, that's life' as if Froome had just missed the bus and would have to wait 20 minutes for a lift.

It's going to be really interesting to see what happens once the rider transfer window opens - you get the feeling the whole team might implode. Out of interest, has Sky even confirmed as a sponsor next year? I seem to remember that when it launched it was a five year project. . .

In his mass home market, i.e. Britain, concern over LBL and Romandie is somewhere less than negligible. However, his role in excluding Wiggo from the Tour squad is widely known and not popular. So if Froome was planning in advance on improving his image by crashing out of the Tour, why the chuff would he go to the bother of getting Wiggo excluded? The best way he'd have bolstered his image with the masses would be to have Wiggo onboard or win the Tour without him.

Probably they knew the state Froome was in from the day before and half expected him not to complete the stage, so plan B was already implemented prior to the stage.

Porte has a contract until 2015, and G just renewed with the team for 2? years.

Comparing performances from start of pro career to now, Froome clearly makes the bigger jump. Therefore, the argument would be, has more assistance, ie is a bigger doper.
