Actually there's plenty of evidence of Contador blood doping. The plastercizers, the links to Puerto, riding for Brunyeel, riding for Riis

At the very least.

There's rumors going around that he's been riding only "on bags" as of lately, but Froome's recent ***-whooping is most likely going to make him go on a PEDs program again.

I'm a fan of his from the very beginning but... the way he looks at the camera and says "no" to the quintessential "have you ever doped" question reminds me of Lance the Psychopath.

The lying part irritates the f*ck out of me.

Everyone lies when they get asked if they have doped.

If you think Contador is annoying you should try reading mein climb. Has anyone ever lied as much as Dawg did in that book?

Obviously I believe froome and AC are doped to the gills - I don't however share other's confidence that froome will get popped - for many reasons - just like the lance years it's not in anyone's interests.

Two caveats though......if AC and Froome keep pushing each other to these levels of mental balls out doping, then maybe I am wrong above. Maybe one will trip the wire. I doubt it mind.
Secondly - Wiggins - he's the key here...he's not comfortable mentally with how he did it. He's aware.

It's gnawing at him you can tell a mile off....time will tell, maybe he'll go scorched earth.

And that's will it would need - the mountains of evidence against lance - without landis nothing would have happened...it will take a wiggins type figure from the inside...not even a former mechanic would suffice.

The way I see it, the "attack" on the descent before the final climb was more of what riders do to stay out of trouble by being on the front and controling their destiny so to speak. It just so happened that Froome and Sky were no where to be found for whatever reason and the opportunity presented itself to gain time. For once Contador had ample support with Valgren and Basso, it's just that they both ran out of gas fairly early (with approx. 7 km's to go), leaving Contador to his own devices. I don't know if it was an intentional effort to distance their rivals. It's possible that the effort on that stage may have drained him more than he realized. I doubt that we will see him making these types of efforts in every race before the Giro.
THIS - I was thinking the same myself.

I've heard others share that sentiment wrt wiggins.
I really don't see it happening though.
I don't see him being unhappy either. He's living the dream, talkshows, his own fashion brand, a charity, holidays.
Apart from that, so many players around him relying on him to stay omerta, including some of his best friends.

I can't see that with Wiggins. Not with the millions in salary each year, endorsements, fame, knighthood, recognition. This is everything he wanted back when he was a member of the gruppetto, what he thought he deserved. You can tell that by his interviews around that time. However could be a case of 'be careful what you wish for' and all that.

I tend to agree...

They learned a lot from the Armstrong affair...

So what you do is keep program in a very small circle..

Then you do all sorts of minor improvements (no nutella, altitude tents, pillows etc) so that even the team members and staff believes the narrative... Heck it might even have a placebo effect on the riders performances......!

if they all believe in their cleanliness and talk tough on dope (thomas etc) then you don't risk some lose cannon blowing the whistle...

And herein lies the true marginal gain....

Problem with Wiggins is he's been busy running his charity and new team..
Maybe he does all those good things for the sport as some kind of payback for his cheating and those activities could be a major deterrence keeping him busy and avoiding his guilt...

The funny thing is, that if he someday has a breakdown and pulls down SKY then him doping might have been for the better of the sport...

There are different ways of avoiding whistleblowers... Just see how supportive Tinkoff-Saxo has been of Kreuziger..
That is not because they enjoy paying him a huge salary and keeping a spot in the team when in effect he can offer nothing for a very long period...
And his case is from the time at Astana... He knows too much, and maybe that is why they are going after him in the first place...

Point is, Omerta is hard to break.. There are several meassures of precaution... Sky has done it the smart way in my opinion..

Yes and no...

It depends if journos etc are interested in digging deep..

Most potential whistleblowers have a job to do, a repute to protect and a family to provide for..
Furthermore they probably know that all the other teams are doing it too..
And if Froome is a nice guy why should he go down when others walk..

Better just to do your job and let others take care of "bussiness".

-Now as for Froome

See his personal doctor Stephane Bermon...
He is currently board member of IAAF involved with anti-doping...

He is also former Astana doctor and on youtube with Kaschekin videos...

Not so hard to find but no one really asks the tough questions...

And the semi-tough questions meet the response "not knowing fully"..

We now know that 69% of top ten GT's in the Epo-era was implicated with doping... But that is many years after the fact...

But you are right to some degree... People do talk a little -there are minor leaks.. but mostly they are ignored due to legal issues, access and the burden of proof... Better to go to france and cover the Tour while living in nice hotels getting the good interviews...
Journos and media in general are imo as much hipocrytes as the dopers...

Remember they live of the fans, not the "Clinicians"...

Who are these people and what is their connection to the sport?

Possibly the scummiest post I've seen in the Clinic. Let's pile the wife and kids on the pyre. Cycling News should be ashamed of hosting this excrement.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Mrs Wiggins opinion of Landis was much worse than what was written here.

Anyone who knows her will doubtless give similar assessments.

I have a long response, and a short one.

I'll give you the short one, and hold onto the long one just in case:
