Snippy...
it will take a wiggins type figure from the inside...not even a former mechanic would suffice.
I tend to agree...
They learned a lot from the Armstrong affair...
So what you do is keep program in a very small circle..
Then you do all sorts of minor improvements (no nutella, altitude tents, pillows etc) so that even the team members and staff believes the narrative... Heck it might even have a placebo effect on the riders performances......!
if they all believe in their cleanliness and talk tough on dope (thomas etc) then you don't risk some lose cannon blowing the whistle...
And herein lies the true marginal gain....
Problem with Wiggins is he's been busy running his charity and new team..
Maybe he does all those good things for the sport as some kind of payback for his cheating and those activities could be a major deterrence keeping him busy and avoiding his guilt...
The funny thing is, that if he someday has a breakdown and pulls down SKY then him doping might have been for the better of the sport...
There are different ways of avoiding whistleblowers... Just see how supportive Tinkoff-Saxo has been of Kreuziger..
That is not because they enjoy paying him a huge salary and keeping a spot in the team when in effect he can offer nothing for a very long period...
And his case is from the time at Astana... He knows too much, and maybe that is why they are going after him in the first place...
Point is, Omerta is hard to break.. There are several meassures of precaution... Sky has done it the smart way in my opinion..
