I of course meant relatively mortal :p Relative to 2013 and Dauphine.

CdD was peanuts compared to today.

Froome just looked like a clown accelerating, but the pace was slow compared to today. 6,02 W/kg at CdD. Peanuts.

Froome probably migrated to a more traditional old school program for the Vuelta. Targeted doping at key stages.

What do you think his main competitors are doing ? Blood bags, micro-EPO, HGH, testosterone patches, combination of the lot or something new ?

They're both obviously doped to the gills, and everyone knows it. No reason to get excited.

The traditional year end Vuelta doping free for all!

I do wonder if the doping is still taking place in the race itself. The strength of Froome and Contador on the final climb in the third week of a GT was eye-opening. Improvement in form should be expected due to their injury layoffs, but I did not expect that show of dominance.

Contador put in attack after attack on Valverde and Purito yesterday and didn't come close to dropping them. Froome put in one effort today and they were gone in the blink of an eye.

....then Contador put in an attack and Froome was gone in the blink of an eye.

Froome looked dead at the finish. Contador didn't. Both riders totally unbelievable, Contador though gets the award for biggest dope-fuelled rampage.

Just a bit surprised Contador didn't give Froome 'The Look'

Contador and Froome's display is sufficient evidence to stop wondering.

Wait, that's not proof of doping though...

As DirtyWorks said you've kinda overlooked the obvious fact that Contador dropped Froome but nevermind :D

But is epo still the best thing out there?

The simple answer is oxygen vector doping is very likely at the top of the GC at the Vuelta. Doping technology has moved on somewhat, but the governance structure of the sport still permits oxygen vector doping.

How/why Froome is permitted to never test positive remains an interesting question. And why the Vuelta and not the Giro.

Based on today, it seems like ASO was ready for Armstrong/Kaiser 2.0 at the TdF this year but injuries prevented it.
