I'm more worried how he rides with his arms so wide open that whenever he's trying to come to the front I feel like he will bulldoze the entire peloton.

I understand omerta. I don't understand how others don't call him out on that dangerously idiotic body geometry.

It did almost cost him today. I think there might be few murmurs here and there.

I'm very surprised he did so well on today's stage, he certainly used some of his insane power on a few occasions on the cobbles, he's lucky it wasn't too wet.

Froome is easily the biggest fraud in cycling history.

He could have saved his show until the hills, but he has to go and rub everyone's noses in it early, as the fair haired boy..
It was incredibly hard to watch him power up to the classics hard men again and again and then still have the ability to have casually swig on his bottle and choose his target to toss it to....
Unfortunately, he and SKY have basically ruined the Tour, for me, anyway... the script is already written, the only thing that can change is if he stuffs up himself and falls off...

Hey Tommy79, can you point to why Froome might be clean?

We know the sport is corrupt.

We know the UCI has only changed 1 person since Cookson took over and that is Cookson who worked for GB cycling and Sky and whose son works for Sky.

We know Froome tells a different story about his Bilharzia, even in the same interview the story changes! (See Kimmage interview with Froome)

He wont release his values, Vo2Max or pre Vuelta'11 values. What is he hiding?

He came from nowhere at 26.

Sky said he raced in sand shoes at commonwealth games. A blatant lie!

He is beating know dopers. Astana had a team doping program less than 2 years ago. Not long ago.

Contador is racing at a similar level to his doping days.

Piti is racing better.

We know doping gives a 15% performance enhancement. So how can he beat dopers?

The testing is a joke. See Roman Kreuziger's case!

Michael Ashenden left because it was a joke.

UCI still control the test results so can hide positives.

Calling the posters in the clinic names really is shooting the messengers and that is not very smart or big.

The clinic is not a court. It is a forum to discuss doping in cycling of which the sport has been riddled with for a long long time.

what should he do? he had to be on the front and stay with Nibali, the most dangerous on the cobbles

Moving the goal posts. And having his team dig at the front on the cobbled sections is just staying with Nibali the cobbles guy. And I guess he also just followed Nibali yesterday.

He came from nowhere at 26.

That's not true. He came in 9th on the Tour of Haut Van. And then 2nd on the Vuelta a España. The logical progression is there. Sense the sarcasm walking through the door?

Jokes aside, this is how the before-and-after looks for a no dope to doping cyclist:

2010
5th Time trial, Commonwealth Games
9th Overall Tour du Haut Var

2011
2nd Overall Vuelta a España

This is Rumsas level of "out of nowhere". The only difference being that Chris has actually won the TdF and is en route to winning many more.

You needed to add sarcasm font when you do that!

Whether people think Froome is a doper or not, today shouldn't provide much evidence either way. But the beauty is that people can cherry pick an observation to suit their preconceived notions. Froome is a doper because he kept up with classics hard-men on the cobbles. Froome is not a doper because he couldn't drop lightweights like Purito and Nairo on the cobbles.

Not so sure people are calling him a doper because of todays performance...

More it is venting/ or just having a laugh -about a rider that apparently never seizes to amaze...

What about the bilharzia? While I don't believe Froome is clean, you can hardly ignore the fact that that had a major effect on his career pre-2011. Then throw in the fact he possibly turned to doping to save his career, and suddenly you've got a massively transformed rider, who is now competing on a level playing field with all the other dopers eg Cobo. Now he's got Contador Nibali and Quintana. Do you honestly believe any of those guys are clean either?

Froome got cleared of Badzilla in june 2011, Brailsford still didn't want him on the vuelta team or give him a new contract.

not exactly true..........offer was on table for froome but then not agreed

of course he could have doped to secure more £............and the rest is history

froome was looking better today handled the cobbles well............

Mark L

edit...........not seen anyone claiming proof of cleans today for da dawg...........who knows the real

At least it will be comical to see all the moronic british posters trying to come up with new reasons for why Froome isn't doping. I thought Lance defenders were clueless, but they have nothing on the skybots.

Be fair, not all Brits are stupid! I am a Brit and I am truly amazed that so many of my fellow countrymen seem to believe that Froome is clean. Of course, I have been following The Clinic for years ;-)

The thing that irritates with Froome, Nibali etc. is that they can effortlessly adapt to any parcours. Let's have an all-sprint Tour and watch as Froome, Nibali, Contador and even Quintana surge past Cavendish and Kittel at the finish line every day for three weeks.

why stick to the truth when one can.............exaggerate and make stuff up...............................

Mark L

and by chance working at a cycling project today here in the UK i quoted 'chances of da dawg being clean is 20%..........and that's being generous................'

It was on the last piece of cobbles and at the tarmac he was like: "Daddy this year i can ride with both the hill specialists and the PR strong men". He just couldnt help himself and left them all for a moment in the dust. At that moment im sure Brailsfraud had to scream he should cool down for later. The superior equipment story holds water for so far.
