If we are going to keep score there is no reason why we shouldn't count every win. There are some big races here in America that Sky is not going to compete in and there are probably some big races in Europe that Garmin will skip.

Garmin is a US registered European based ProTour team! What big races in europe do you think they will miss?

Ok, so we better count the Jayco Bay Classic series and Hendy's race win and Sutton's overall win then.

Sky - 3
Garmin- 2

What are these races that garmin will skip? It's a protour-team, isn't it?

Why do we count aussie nationals - it was not a team competition as far as sky and garmin being involved.
By the same token we do not include the Jayco bay classics, as Sky had riders on two different teams for a start.. If thats the case lets count geraints track results at the revolution series...

1-0 to sky for what its worth.. now are we count stage wins, or only overalls.. goodness...

Probably best if we don't keep score. We can knock the dust off of this thing at the end of the season and look at the team's top results and then come to a conclusion.

The only thing that matters is seeing Garmin crush Wiggins like the hipster doofus that he is. I want to see Tommy D. place higher than Wiggo. I want to see Garmin b!tch slap that bad haircut right off him.

Don't you have to have tattoos and black plastic rimmed (non Rx) glasses to be a hipster?

I will agree on the haircut.

Why? Are you getting a bit nervous now, that come the end of the season, Garmin are going to be trailing waaaaaaay behind? :p

I'm keeping score.

No I have better things to do with my life. The rule should be if they are wearing the team kit with team support and win in it during a UCI Road Race it counts (with the exception of the World Championships). Otherwise events like the Tour of Ireland and Tour of California will be out of play.

Smaller events like the Tour of Ireland and some of the National Road Race events (Norway RR/TT Championships, Italian RR/TT Championships, etc.)

There are no Norwegians or Italians in Garmin so of course they will not compete in the Norwegian and Italian championships as they are restricted to riders of the country.

The Tour of Ireland FBD Ras is a Europe Tour 2.2 cat event. Lower than the Tour of Britain and the number of ProTour teams are restricted.

You would be better to use results from the World Tour which would exclude the Cancer classic and National Championship results.

I agree with this - as should anyone sensible. I consider it 2-1 to Garmin (and I want Sky to win).

I predict that this year Tommy D. will place higher in one of the GTs than Wiggins will place in one of them. I wil laugh my @ss off about it. Vaughters probably will also as he jingles the $3.2M in his pocket.
Damn, I hope you're right.

I keep seeing Danielson as a Stephen Roche sort of rider--brilliantly talented but with a delicate constitution. He's still young, Vaughters has a lot invested in him, but if it's going to happen it has to start this year.

Because Garmin riders have won two UCI races in their kit (ie representing Garmin - two Aussie champs with the Meyers) and Sky have won one.

that the same aussie champs that chris sutton was allowed to take part in.. :D

national champs don't count. Some teams don't have as many if any riders in some national races that others do.

Nah, Nationals definitely counts when both teams are present. Garmin handed Sky their a*** on a platter at the National champs just as HTC are doing at the TdU. Sky might be funded to the earlobes, but so far all they've won is a crit in park.

Footon (AKA Team Horrendous Kit) have had twice the success of SKY so far.

Would you like to tell us which Sky riders got it handed to them at the australion national champs...

And be very careful how you answer, you could make yourself appear an even bigger idiot that you have already..

Sky has four Austrlian riders. If they were too scared to face the Garmin onslaught, it's not our fault.
