Sky has four Austrlian riders. If they were too scared to face the Garmin onslaught, it's not our fault.

Go back and count again... you really must pay more attention..

and are you now australian, rather than american, or do you have dual nationalitites.. :D

Sky move into the lead.. their bus is better

Hell yeah! That thing is awesome!

Much better than Garmin's hippy flower-power runs-on-used-vegetable-oil-and-liquid-smug VW camper van (or whatever they have).

(only joking, I like Garmin.)

Everyone is going to be disappointed in Wiggins...the tour rider that will make the waves for Sky is Lovkvist!! Mark it down...this is the rider to hit it big for Sky this season...at least I hope so...

Ah yes, but it's not always lilac. It's "mood" lighting apparently, so they can change colour depending on how the riders should feel. So flashing disco lights before a rave, sorry, race, and calming pulsing subtle blue afterwards. And lilac whenever Yatesy gets his hands on the controls.

He'll probably beat me to a pulp for that remark.

Garmin 2 - Team Sky 1

Sky 1?

So the cancer classic and the 6th stage of the tour down under, both races featuring the full sky and garmin teams dont count?

And the australian championships featuring no sky riders, and garmin doing a lance and racing against a bunch of amateurs do?

darn.. you really cant lie with statistics..

In UCI races featuring both teams it is currently

Columbia 3
Sky 2
Puke Shirts 1
Caisee 1
Garmin 0

:D

But it can hardly be counbed in a garmin v sky battle

this is a stupid thread anyway, its pretty obvious who will win more races.. EbH won more on his own last year than garmin.. In fact how many races did garmin win last year?

The only thing that matters is Wiggins getting the sh!t kicked out of him in the Tour...and America's team, HTC-Columbia, winning more than Sky.

Tour of Quatar coming up, Dim! I saw Cameron Meyer of Garmin in stage 5 of TDU, doing really well in the breakaway, and he finished eighth. Just can't forget EBH in TOB, stage 7, 2008, flying past Meyer like a bullet! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXDw...2CB5A9B4&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=45

2010? You ain't seen nothing yet!;)

What does the poll mean by "better".

Sky will win more one day races, with people like EBH in the squad, but Garmin will have a better Tour. Which of those is "better"? I voted Sky on that basis.

Just on today's race, I'm surprised Henderson didn't know that if he won the stage he'd move to 2nd overall. They still have radio's, right? For a team that supposedly "pays attention to the fine details", that's some oversight.

Think it was more about getting the aussie the win in australia and keeping things even, the everyone gets their chance route..

I don't care if both teams are represented or not. All that counts is which team gets more wins in UCI classified races 1.2/2.2 and above. The national championships have always been official UCI races and the Cancer Classic was not an official UCI rated race.

This is the only list that counts as for as I'm concerned...

Alternatively the CQ team ranking would also be a good measure.

In the post-race interview CJ said that he was to lead out and if Henderson could come past him, fine, if not he would try to hold on for as long as he could... and watching the sprint even if they wanted Henderson to win, I don't think they could do it as he came through to second in the last few metres, so Sutton wouldn't have enough time to see that and ease off anyway. But I just thought it was something he would like to know during the race, that's all. I know I would.

BTW, I bet Swifty had a word in his ear for that jump during the lead out!

So why, pray tell do you only have sky on 1 win.. we discounting the cancer classic result now..

this thread gets worse..

if it is to be sky v garmin it should be races involving the two teams.. same as if its man utd v liverpool the result between the two teams counts, not man utds result v hill and liverpools v wigan..
