After One Lap
1. Durbridge
2. Dennis + 22"
3. Mammini + 37"
4. Le Bon + 1'02"
5. Novikov + 1'08"
6. Talansky + 1'12"
7. Van Overberghe 1'15"
Talansky is now through, he struggled badly on the first climb (11th) but made it up on the flatter sections.
At the Finish
1. Durbridge
2. Dennis + 45"
3. Mammini + 48"
4. Le Bon + 1'37"
5. Van Overberghe + 2'11"
6. Sorensen + 2'18"
7. Talansky +2'20"
8. Gomez +2'31"
9. Novikov + 2'33"
Dennis is through the first check at +27", he is in the same boat as Talansky I feel. Not everyone is enjoying this climb, I don't think Phinney is a certainty at this stage.
Thinking about the Women's/Men's TT, these climbs will not be as significant as they have and extra 5km or so of flat (with a few 90 degree turns though) so FC and Martin should be fine.
Also the weather is changing quite a lot. It was a mix of sun and rain during the first group but now it seems predominantly dry sun/overcast. The flags at all points of the course don't seem to be indicating much wind.
Dennis into second after one lap. Talansky is over the top of the final check, losing another 30" or so.
I like the look of the 19 yr old Colombian Gomez Pineda eating up that climb.
Dennis goes 2nd at the finish. Phinney off the ramp in a couple of minutes.
