Can someone tell me why podium placegetters always receive flowers?

Jeez, Phinney is tall - same height as the others even though he's the only one not on the top tier of the podium

Wow... That was really strong stuff by Matthews. When he went in the final 150m he just obliterated everyone. Degenkolb went too soon, but it looked like his valliant efforts to keep it together has cost him the best part of his sprint already.

BTW... Lol at the Sporza commentators crowing about how Jens Keukeleire would've won if he'd been in the race
.
Keukeleire would not of had a chance in hell against matthews

If I'm going to be deported, can it pleas be to one my favourite countries that I've visited, which is Japan. Otherwise, Italy will do.

Great ride by Phinney.
Agreed. The guy is also a great sport. whenever you hear the guy talk he always is a very gracious winner or loser.

Tubby? Matthews finished 8th in one of the hardest Tour de L'Avenirs in recent memory. Het is a more than decent climber in the u23 category.

Gotta say, you aussies are absolutely crap at text commentary. Remind me in the spring to give you no updates on the classics :p

Well, I was at work. Lucky to be able to check CN live on my phone as it was. Oh and even if I wasn't I don't have the channel its broadcast on. Its a metropolitan digital channel. Would have sworn until I was red if I was watching with the ad breaks. Typical commercialised ****. You can bet if SBS had the right the last lap would be break free.
